Certify Your Credentials Before Applying
Linde's maintenance roles often require documented proficiency in areas like pressure vessel inspection, instrumentation, or electrical systems. Getting certifications such as NACE, ASNT, or relevant OSHA credentials in order before you apply signals job-readiness to a technical hiring team.
Target Facilities With Active Capital Projects
Linde regularly runs plant expansions and new-build projects in the chemicals and industrial gases space. Facilities in active construction or commissioning phases have the strongest maintenance hiring demand, so filter your search toward those sites rather than applying broadly.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Open Roles
Maintenance openings at companies like Linde move quickly and don't always stay posted long. Use Migrate Mate to browse verified sponsorship-eligible positions at Linde so you're applying to roles where the sponsorship pathway is already confirmed.
Understand Which Visa Fits Your Background
Linde sponsors multiple visa categories for maintenance and technical roles. If you're mid-career with a degree, EB-2 or H-1B may apply. If you're earlier in your career or on OPT, know which category your experience level supports before the offer stage so you're not caught off guard.
Prepare for PERM's Prevailing Wage Documentation
For EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card pathways, DOL requires Linde to demonstrate your offered wage meets prevailing wage standards for the specific maintenance role and work location. Knowing the wage tier for your target facility helps you evaluate offers before committing to a sponsorship agreement.
Align Your Start Date With Filing Windows
H-1B petitions have a fixed annual filing window with an October 1 start date. If Linde makes you an offer in late spring or summer, factor in that your actual start could be months out. Build this timeline into your conversations with the hiring manager early.

Find Maintenance at Linde JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Linde sponsor H-1B visas for Maintenances?
Yes, Linde sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying maintenance roles, particularly those requiring specialized technical expertise in areas like process equipment, instrumentation, or reliability engineering. The role needs to meet USCIS's specialty occupation standard, meaning it typically requires at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Hands-on trade experience alone may not be sufficient without an accompanying degree or degree equivalent.
How do I apply for Maintenance jobs at Linde?
You can apply directly through Linde's careers portal, where maintenance openings are listed by location and facility type. To focus on roles where visa sponsorship is already part of the hiring process, browsing through Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for Linde positions that support international candidates. Tailor your resume to reflect certifications and experience relevant to industrial gas or chemical plant environments.
Which visa types are commonly used for Maintenance roles at Linde?
Linde sponsors H-1B visas for degree-holding maintenance professionals, and TN visas for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupational categories. F-1 OPT and CPT sponsorship is also available for recent graduates entering technical roles. For longer-term pathways, Linde has used EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for maintenance positions that meet DOL's PERM labor certification requirements.
What qualifications does Linde expect for sponsored Maintenance roles?
Most sponsored maintenance roles at Linde require a degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering, or a closely related field, paired with hands-on plant experience. Certifications in areas such as pressure equipment inspection, process safety, or industrial instrumentation strengthen your profile significantly. Linde's maintenance teams operate in regulated environments, so familiarity with PSM, OSHA standards, or relevant industry codes is a practical advantage.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Maintenance role at Linde?
Timeline depends on the visa type. H-1B requires registration in the annual lottery in March, with a start date no earlier than October 1, making the gap from offer to start potentially six months or more. Green Card sponsorship through PERM is a multi-year process. TN visas for eligible nationals can move much faster, sometimes within weeks of an offer. Clarify the intended visa category with your Linde recruiter as early as possible.
