Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
H-1B eligibility requires a directly related bachelor's degree for the specific role. For Customer Program Manager positions, a degree in business, marketing, or information systems strengthens your case more than a general management background.
Target McDonald's corporate and technology divisions
Customer Program Manager openings tied to digital ordering platforms, loyalty programs, or franchisee-facing technology are more likely to qualify as specialty occupations than generalist account roles. Focus your search on those business units specifically.
Browse open roles using Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Customer Program Manager openings at McDonald's by visa type before applying. Applying to roles already flagged for sponsorship saves you from wasting time on positions where support is unavailable.
Clarify sponsorship scope during the offer stage
Ask HR whether sponsorship covers only the initial H-1B petition or also future Green Card filing through PERM. McDonald's corporate roles have supported both, but terms vary by division and budget cycle, so confirm in writing before signing.
Prepare for a prevailing wage review on your offer
DOL requires your offered salary to meet the prevailing wage for your location and job level. Research the wage data for your specific metro area so you can identify whether any offer falls below the threshold before USCIS filing begins.

Find Customer Program Manager at McDonald's JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does McDonald's sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Program Managers?
Yes, McDonald's sponsors H-1B visas for Customer Program Manager roles, particularly within its corporate and technology-facing divisions. Sponsorship is more consistent for positions tied to digital platforms, franchisee systems, or loyalty program management, where the specialty occupation requirement is easier to establish. Availability varies by business unit, so confirming sponsorship intent directly with the recruiting team during early interviews is the most reliable approach.
Which visa types are commonly used for Customer Program Manager roles at McDonald's?
H-1B is the most common visa for Customer Program Manager positions at McDonald's, covering candidates already in the U.S. on OPT or transferring from another employer. F-1 OPT and CPT are used for early-career candidates during or immediately after graduation. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management or business analyst roles. EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship is available for longer-tenured employees in eligible roles.
How do I apply for Customer Program Manager jobs at McDonald's?
Applications go through McDonald's careers portal, but filtering specifically for visa-sponsored openings can be difficult there. Migrate Mate lets you browse Customer Program Manager roles at McDonald's filtered by visa type, so you can target positions where sponsorship is already part of the hiring plan. When applying, tailor your resume to emphasize account management experience within large-scale retail, franchise, or platform environments, which aligns closely with how McDonald's defines this function internally.
What qualifications does McDonald's expect for Customer Program Manager roles?
Most Customer Program Manager roles at McDonald's require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, along with demonstrated experience managing client or franchisee relationships at scale. Familiarity with CRM platforms, digital ordering systems, or loyalty program operations is a strong differentiator. Candidates with backgrounds in food service, retail technology, or franchise operations tend to align well with how the company structures this function across its corporate divisions.
How do I know if my visa timeline will work with McDonald's hiring process?
McDonald's corporate hiring timelines typically run 6 to 12 weeks from application to offer. For H-1B transfers, your new petition can be filed concurrently with your start date under portability rules, so a gap in authorization is not automatic. If you're on OPT, confirm your remaining authorized period covers the expected start date plus a buffer. USCIS premium processing, currently available for H-1B petitions, can reduce adjudication to roughly 15 business days if timing is tight.
