About The Team
DoorDash Labs is an independent team within DoorDash. We explore robotics, drones, and automation to transform last mile logistics in the long term. If you want to work on commercializing autonomy, drones, and robotics in a service used by millions of people, then we want to talk to you!
About The Role
We’re hiring a Materials Program Manager to support aircraft builds as DoorDash Air scales to higher-volume production. This role will own clear-to-build planning, including demand planning, shortage management, inventory allocation, purchasing coordination, and build readiness. You will help define the processes and operating cadence that allow the team to move from reactive material tracking to a scalable production supply chain. You will report into the Supply Chain Lead on our DoorDash Air Supply Chain team.
You’re Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will…
- Lead material readiness for aircraft builds by translating BOMs, build schedules, inventory, supplier lead times, and open orders into a clear build readiness plan.
- Own shortage management and clear-to-build status across prototype, validation, and production builds, including risk tracking and escalation.
- Partner with procurement, engineering, manufacturing, and finance to align material availability with program timing and budget needs.
- Build scalable processes for inventory accuracy, allocation, receiving, labeling, kitting, and build readiness as the program grows.
- Identify long-lead and high-risk materials early, recommend mitigation plans, and help reduce last-minute expediting and build delays.
We’re Excited About You Because…
- You have 5+ years of experience in materials planning, supply planning, production planning, procurement operations, inventory control, or equivalent experience.
- You have experience owning material readiness or clear-to-build planning for hardware, manufacturing, robotics, drones, or equivalent programs.
- You are comfortable working with complex bills of materials, supplier lead times, purchase orders, inventory, demand forecasts, and build schedules.
- You can operate with ambiguity, build structure where processes are still developing, and communicate risks clearly to cross-functional partners.
- You are comfortable working hands-on with physical inventory and systems, including receiving, labeling, organizing, tracking, and preparing materials for builds.

Frame your experience around merchant outcomes
DoorDash Customer Program Managers are evaluated on measurable business impact, not just account management activity. Document specific retention rates, onboarding improvements, or revenue outcomes from your previous roles before applying. Quantified results move your resume past initial screening.
Target DoorDash's enterprise and mid-market teams
DoorDash staffs Customer Program Manager roles across restaurant enterprise accounts, convenience, and grocery verticals. Identifying which business unit your background fits before outreach sharpens your application and signals genuine familiarity with their merchant model.
Confirm your visa category before accepting an offer
DoorDash sponsors several nonimmigrant categories including H-1B, E-3, TN, and H-1B1 visa. Before signing, confirm in writing which category your offer covers, since each carries different timelines, renewal structures, and portability rules that affect your long-term planning.
Time your application around H-1B cap deadlines
If you need H-1B sponsorship, registrations open in March for an October 1 start date. Targeting DoorDash roles in Q4 of the prior year gives you the runway to get an offer finalized and submitted before USCIS opens the registration window.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsoring roles
Confirming which Customer Program Manager openings at DoorDash are actively sponsoring can be difficult from a standard job board. Use Migrate Mate to filter DoorDash listings by visa type so you apply only to roles where sponsorship is confirmed and available.
Request clarity on PERM eligibility during negotiations
If your goal is permanent residency, ask during the offer stage whether the Customer Program Manager role qualifies for EB-2 or EB-3 PERM sponsorship. Not every position is structured for green card filing, and confirming this early prevents a costly misalignment later.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does DoorDash sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Program Managers?
Yes, DoorDash sponsors H-1B visas for Customer Program Manager roles. Because the H-1B is subject to an annual cap and lottery, timing matters. If you need initial H-1B sponsorship, work toward securing an offer well before the March registration window opens so your employer can file on your behalf for an October 1 start date.
Which visa types does DoorDash commonly sponsor for Customer Program Manager roles?
DoorDash sponsors a range of visa categories for this function, including H-1B, H-1B1 visa for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, E-3 visa for Australian citizens, TN visa for Canadian and Mexican professionals, F-1 OPT and CPT for students, J-1 visa, and immigrant pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. The right category depends on your nationality, educational background, and career stage.
What qualifications does DoorDash expect for Customer Program Manager positions?
DoorDash typically looks for experience managing complex merchant or client relationships, cross-functional coordination, and data-informed program management in a technology or marketplace environment. Familiarity with CRM tools, onboarding workflows, and measurable retention or growth outcomes strengthens your profile. A bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a related field is standard, and prior experience in a two-sided marketplace or logistics context is a differentiator.
How do I apply for Customer Program Manager jobs at DoorDash?
Browse open Customer Program Manager roles at DoorDash on Migrate Mate, where listings are filtered by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. Once you identify a fit, apply directly through DoorDash's careers portal. Tailor your application to the specific vertical (restaurant, grocery, convenience) and lead with measurable outcomes from your previous program management experience.
How do I plan my timeline if DoorDash is sponsoring my visa for a Customer Program Manager role?
Timeline depends heavily on visa category. E-3 and TN approvals can move quickly, often within a few weeks of offer acceptance. H-1B sponsorship requires waiting for the October 1 fiscal year start unless you're transferring an existing H-1B. F-1 OPT candidates should confirm their OPT expiration date relative to the expected start date and discuss cap-gap coverage with DoorDash's immigration team if applicable.
