Why Meter?
The internet runs the world. Every purchase you make, video call you join, it's all packets flowing through networks. But those networks haven’t changed for decades. They’re brittle, complex, and surprisingly hard to set up in an enterprise space.
We started Meter to build better networks. We had to build everything from the ground-up: designing and building our own enterprise hardware, intuitive software, and streamlined operations to deliver great outcomes for our customers. Today, we build and deploy these networks at scale. Ambitious companies and enduring institutions like Bridgewater, Lyft, Reddit, rely on Meter to keep their thousands of employees and locations online and productive.
Our bet with Meter is simple: we will all use the internet more than we do today. We believe we have the definitive networking stack in place to enable business to do so as seamlessly and reliably as any modern utility.
Compensation
- The estimated salary range for this role is $145,000 - $170,000.
- Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Meter's equity plan.

Frame your experience around technical onboarding
Meter's Customer Success roles sit at the intersection of networking hardware and software. Emphasize experience onboarding clients onto infrastructure or developer-focused products, not just general SaaS support. That signals you can handle the technical depth Meter's customers expect.
Confirm E-3 eligibility before applying
If you hold Australian citizenship, the E-3 visa is your most practical path at a company like Meter. Verify your role qualifies as a specialty occupation and that your degree field aligns with the specific Customer Success position before submitting your application.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Customer Success roles by sponsorship type
Not every Customer Success opening at a tech company comes with clear sponsorship signals. Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for roles at companies with a sponsorship track record, so you can prioritize Meter openings that align with your visa type.
Request a clear LCA timeline after receiving an offer
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before your visa petition can move forward. Ask your Meter recruiter early which visa type they intend to file under so you can track whether LCA certification is progressing before your current status expires.
Document client-facing outcomes, not just responsibilities
Meter evaluates Customer Success candidates on measurable impact: retention, expansion revenue, and time-to-value metrics. Your resume and interviews should quantify what changed for clients because of your work, especially in network-adjacent or infrastructure software environments.
Protect your OPT by timing your application window carefully
F-1 OPT gives you a limited window to work before a petition must be filed. If your OPT end date is approaching, flag this with Meter's HR team immediately after receiving an offer. USCIS cap-gap provisions may apply if an H-1B petition is filed on time.

Does Meter sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Success?
Meter's documented sponsorship activity for Customer Success roles has focused on E-3 and F-1 OPT rather than H-1B. That said, sponsorship decisions are made on a role-by-role basis. If you're H-1B dependent, it's worth asking directly during the recruiter screen, since the H-1B lottery timeline affects whether sponsorship is even feasible for a given hire date.
How do I apply for Customer Success jobs at Meter?
Meter posts Customer Success openings on its careers page. Before applying, review the job description for language like 'requires work authorization' or 'will sponsor,' since not every listing makes sponsorship eligibility explicit. Migrate Mate is a reliable way to surface Meter's Customer Success roles that align with your visa type before you spend time on an application.
Which visa types are commonly used for Customer Success roles at Meter?
E-3 and F-1 OPT are the visa types most associated with Customer Success sponsorship at Meter. E-3 is available exclusively to Australian citizens and allows two-year renewable work periods. F-1 CPT and OPT support students and recent graduates in pre- or post-completion work. Each has different filing requirements, so your current status determines which path applies.
What qualifications does Meter look for in Customer Success candidates?
Meter's Customer Success roles typically require experience supporting technical products, ideally in networking, infrastructure, or developer tooling. Familiarity with enterprise client relationships, onboarding workflows, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering teams strengthens your profile. A degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, information systems, or business, supports specialty occupation classification for E-3 and H-1B petitions.
How do I manage my visa timeline during the Meter hiring process?
Start the sponsorship conversation with Meter's recruiter at the offer stage, not after signing. For E-3 applicants, your employer needs to file a certified LCA with the DOL before you can attend a consular interview. For F-1 OPT holders, confirm your remaining authorized work period against Meter's expected start date, since USCIS cap-gap rules may bridge any gap if an H-1B is filed before your OPT expires.
