Frame your HR credentials around manufacturing compliance
Mohawk operates large production facilities with complex labor compliance needs. Tailor your resume to highlight experience with workforce policy, OSHA-adjacent HR functions, or multi-site employee relations, since those gaps appear most frequently in their HR postings.
Search open HR roles directly on Migrate Mate
Filter by Mohawk Industries in the Human Resources category on Migrate Mate to see currently open, sponsorship-confirmed positions. Applying through a targeted list saves time compared to sorting through general job boards where sponsorship eligibility is unlisted.
Align your specialty occupation documentation early
For H-1B sponsorship, your HR role must qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards. Roles like HR Business Partner or Compensation Analyst, where a specific degree in human resources or organizational behavior is required, tend to hold up better than generalist HR coordinator titles.
Ask about LCA timing before accepting an offer
Mohawk must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting your H-1B petition to USCIS. Confirm with your recruiter where the company is in that process so you can set realistic start-date expectations and avoid gaps in work authorization.
Prepare for PERM if targeting a Green Card pathway
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship through Mohawk requires a PERM labor certification filed with DOL before the immigrant petition. HR roles at large manufacturers often qualify, but the process takes a year or more, so raise the conversation during negotiation rather than after joining.

Does Mohawk Industries sponsor H-1B visas for Human Resources roles?
Yes, Mohawk Industries sponsors H-1B visas for Human Resources positions. Roles that qualify tend to require a specific bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field rather than a general degree in any discipline. Specialty occupation requirements under USCIS standards are easier to satisfy for analytical or strategic HR titles than for broad generalist roles.
How do I apply for Human Resources jobs at Mohawk Industries?
Apply directly through Mohawk Industries' careers portal or browse their open Human Resources positions on Migrate Mate, where sponsorship-eligible roles are clearly identified. Tailor your application to reflect the scale of Mohawk's workforce, including manufacturing, retail, and corporate functions, since their HR teams operate across a large and varied employee base.
Which visa types does Mohawk Industries commonly use for Human Resources hires?
Mohawk sponsors H-1B visas for skilled HR professionals and supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates entering HR roles. For candidates seeking permanent residence, the company has used EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa pathways. TN visas are also an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying HR occupations under USMCA.
What qualifications does Mohawk Industries expect for Human Resources roles?
Most mid-level and senior HR roles at Mohawk require a bachelor's degree in human resources, industrial-organizational psychology, business, or a closely related field. Experience supporting large hourly and salaried workforces is an advantage given their manufacturing footprint. Certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR strengthen applications for roles involving policy development or HR business partnering.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Human Resources role at Mohawk?
For H-1B sponsorship, Mohawk must first secure a certified Labor Condition Application from DOL, which typically takes one to three weeks, before filing with USCIS. Standard USCIS adjudication runs three to six months, while premium processing reduces that to roughly two to three weeks. PERM-based Green Card paths take considerably longer, often exceeding one year from start to approval.
