Align your background with flooring verticals
Mohawk's Sales teams are organized around product lines like carpet, LVT, and rugs. Framing your resume around channel sales, dealer networks, or B2B account management in home goods or textiles signals direct relevance before your application reaches a recruiter.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment before applying
Mohawk Industries participates in E-Verify, which is a prerequisite for F-1 OPT employment authorization. Verify this enrollment status through the E-Verify employer search tool so you know your work authorization type is supported before investing time in the interview process.
Target regional and territory Sales openings
Mohawk posts a high volume of field-based Sales roles tied to specific territories. These positions often move faster through hiring than corporate roles, and territory Sales jobs with defined revenue responsibilities tend to qualify more cleanly as specialty occupations under H-1B criteria.
Time your TN application around role classification
Canadian and Mexican nationals in Sales roles at Mohawk may qualify under the TN Management Consultant or Marketing category depending on job duties. Confirm the specific job description maps to an eligible TN category before your offer letter is finalized, since USCIS scrutinizes Sales titles closely.
Use Migrate Mate to find current openings
Mohawk's Sales postings are spread across multiple regions and updated frequently. Use Migrate Mate to filter active Mohawk Sales roles by visa type so you're only reviewing positions where your specific sponsorship need is already supported by the employer's filing history.
Request PERM sponsorship clarity during negotiation
If you're targeting a path to permanent residence, ask directly whether the Sales role qualifies for EB-2 or EB-3 PERM sponsorship during the offer stage. Mohawk's HR teams handle immigration through external counsel, so getting written confirmation of Green Card support before signing protects your long-term planning.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Mohawk Industries sponsor H-1B visas for Sales roles?
Yes, Mohawk Industries sponsors H-1B visas for Sales positions, particularly roles involving account management, business development, or territory sales where a bachelor's degree in a relevant field is a stated requirement. The key factor is whether the specific Sales role qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which depends on the job duties outlined in the offer letter and Labor Condition Application filed with DOL.
How do I apply for Sales jobs at Mohawk Industries?
Applications go through Mohawk's careers portal, where Sales roles are listed by region and product division. Before applying, confirm your target role explicitly supports your visa type, since not every Sales posting will include sponsorship language. Migrate Mate lets you browse Mohawk Sales openings filtered by visa sponsorship history, which saves time if you're on OPT or an H-1B transfer timeline.
Which visa types does Mohawk Industries commonly use for Sales hires?
Mohawk has sponsored H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN visa, and EB-2/EB-3 Green Card pathways for employees across its business. For Sales specifically, H-1B and OPT are the most common entry points. TN visa is viable for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose Sales role duties align with an eligible TN category. Longer-term hires may be supported through PERM-based Green Card sponsorship.
What qualifications does Mohawk Industries expect for sponsored Sales roles?
Most sponsored Sales roles at Mohawk require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, supply chain, or a related field, since degree requirements are central to H-1B specialty occupation eligibility. Relevant experience in B2B sales, flooring, textiles, or home products distribution strengthens your profile. Roles tied to national accounts or strategic partnerships typically carry higher qualification expectations than entry-level territory positions.
How do I plan my timeline if I need visa sponsorship for a Mohawk Sales role?
If you're on F-1 OPT, your authorization is immediate and doesn't require advance USCIS filing, but you'll want at least 90 days before your OPT expires to start the H-1B process. H-1B cap-subject filings happen once annually in April for an October 1 start, so a Mohawk offer in late 2025 for a cap-subject H-1B wouldn't result in work authorization until October 2026. Cap-exempt scenarios and TN transfers move faster.
