Frame Your Portfolio Around Systems Thinking
Molex evaluates Product Directors on their ability to manage complex component ecosystems, not just individual product lines. Organize your portfolio around cross-functional programs you led from ideation through commercialization, with clear outcomes tied to business growth.
Target Molex Roles That Overlap With Wearables
Molex has expanded into flexible electronics and smart textile connectivity for Fashion & Apparel applications. Product Director candidates with experience bridging hardware and soft-goods manufacturing cycles are better positioned than those with pure apparel or pure electronics backgrounds.
Align Your Visa Type Before Applying
Molex sponsors several visa categories for Product Director roles, including H-1B, TN, and EB-2. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your OPT expiration date relative to Molex's typical hiring timeline, since STEM OPT extension paperwork must be initiated before your standard OPT expires.
Request an Explicit Sponsorship Commitment Early
During initial recruiter screens, ask directly whether the specific role is approved for visa sponsorship. Some Product Director openings at Molex are business-unit-specific, and sponsorship approvals are not universal across all product groups or geographies.
Prepare Your Specialty Occupation Documentation Now
USCIS requires H-1B petitions for Product Director roles to demonstrate specialty occupation status. Gather degree transcripts, a detailed job description from Molex, and evidence that a bachelor's degree in a specific technical field is a standard industry requirement for this level of product leadership.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Open Roles Efficiently
Molex posts Product Director openings across multiple channels and business units, which makes tracking them manually inconsistent. Use Migrate Mate to filter for Molex roles that explicitly include visa sponsorship, so you're only engaging with opportunities where sponsorship is already confirmed.

Find Product Director at Molex JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Molex sponsor H-1B visas for Product Directors?
Yes, Molex sponsors H-1B visas for Product Director roles. Because H-1B approval for this function requires demonstrating specialty occupation status, your offered role needs a clearly defined technical scope and a degree requirement in a specific field. Generalist product management descriptions without technical depth are more likely to face USCIS scrutiny at this level.
How do I apply for Product Director jobs at Molex?
Applications go through Molex's careers portal, but not every listing explicitly states sponsorship availability. The most reliable approach is to use Migrate Mate, which filters Molex Product Director openings to show only roles with confirmed visa sponsorship. From there, tailor your application to emphasize cross-functional product leadership within hardware or components, which aligns with Molex's core business.
Which visa types does Molex commonly use for Product Director roles?
Molex sponsors Product Directors under several categories depending on your background and situation. H-1B is the most common path for employer-sponsored work authorization. TN is available if you're a Canadian or Mexican national in a qualifying occupation. F-1 OPT and CPT allow students to work while degree-related, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship is available for longer-term employment.
What qualifications does Molex expect for a Product Director role?
Molex typically looks for a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, materials science, or a related technical field, combined with substantial experience leading product lines through full development cycles. For Fashion & Apparel applications specifically, familiarity with flexible electronics, wearable components, or soft-goods manufacturing processes strengthens your profile considerably over general consumer product experience.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at Molex?
The H-1B cap lottery registration opens in March each year for an October 1 start date, meaning you need a job offer finalized by late February or early March to be included. If you're on F-1 OPT with a STEM extension, you may have more flexibility. USCIS premium processing is available and reduces adjudication to around 15 business days, which Molex has used to accelerate timelines for critical hires.
