Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Solution Engineer Jobs at Molex Jobs
Align your degree to solution engineering clearly
Molex's H-1B filings for Solution Engineers require a specialty occupation determination, so your degree field must map directly to the role. Electrical engineering, computer science, or systems engineering credentials read cleanest to USCIS reviewers when tied to connectivity and hardware solution work.
Target Molex's fashion technology client verticals
Molex supplies connectors and sensing solutions to wearable and apparel manufacturing clients. Framing your experience around industrial IoT, smart textiles, or manufacturing automation signals direct relevance to the business problems their Solution Engineers actually solve.
Research open roles across Molex's regional offices
Molex hires Solution Engineers across multiple U.S. locations, and sponsorship eligibility can vary by business unit. Use Migrate Mate to filter open Solution Engineer postings at Molex by visa type so you're applying where sponsorship is actively offered.
Confirm OPT STEM extension eligibility before accepting offers
If you're on F-1 OPT, verify that Molex is registered with E-Verify before accepting an offer. STEM OPT extensions require E-Verify enrollment from the employer, and you'll need to file your I-983 training plan within 10 days of starting.
Negotiate offer timing around H-1B cap deadlines
H-1B registration opens in early March each year, with cap-subject petitions filed October 1. If you're graduating or transitioning roles, time your Molex offer acceptance to give HR enough runway to prepare the LCA filing with DOL before the USCIS window opens.
Prepare a technical portfolio covering systems integration work
Molex Solution Engineers are expected to demonstrate applied problem-solving with hardware and software integration. Document past projects involving connector systems, sensor networks, or client-facing technical deployments. Concrete outcomes strengthen your specialty occupation case during H-1B adjudication.

Find Solution Engineer at Molex JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Molex sponsor H-1B visas for Solution Engineers?
Yes, Molex sponsors H-1B visas for Solution Engineer roles. The position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards given its requirement for a bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field such as electrical engineering or computer science. Your employer files the Labor Condition Application with DOL before USCIS petition submission, so the process starts well before your target start date.
Which visa types does Molex commonly use for Solution Engineer roles?
Molex sponsors across several visa categories for this role, including H-1B for degree-holding professionals, F-1 OPT and CPT for students completing engineering programs, TN for qualifying Canadian and Mexican nationals in technical occupations, and J-1 for eligible exchange visitors. For permanent residence pathways, Molex has supported both EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for Solution Engineers transitioning to long-term employment.
What qualifications does Molex expect for Solution Engineer candidates?
Molex generally expects a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical discipline for Solution Engineer positions. Hands-on experience with connectivity systems, industrial automation, or hardware integration is a strong differentiator. Client-facing or pre-sales technical experience is valued because Solution Engineers at Molex work directly with customers to scope and implement solutions, particularly in manufacturing and electronics-adjacent verticals.
How do I apply for Solution Engineer jobs at Molex?
You can browse and apply for Solution Engineer roles at Molex through Migrate Mate, which filters open positions by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. When you apply, tailor your resume to highlight systems integration projects and client-facing technical work. If you're on a time-sensitive visa status, flag your authorization type early in the process so Molex's recruiting team can align the offer and filing timeline accordingly.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship for a Molex role?
The H-1B cap registration window opens in early March, and cap-subject employment can't begin before October 1 of the same year. That means you need a signed offer from Molex no later than February to give HR time to prepare the DOL Labor Condition Application and USCIS petition. If you're currently on F-1 OPT with a remaining work authorization period, you may be able to start sooner while your H-1B petition is pending through the cap-gap provision.
