Frame healthcare customer service credentials clearly
Patient access, medical billing, and insurance verification experience translate directly to MyMichigan Health's customer service roles. Tailor your resume to surface these specifics rather than generic service language, since healthcare HR teams screen for clinical-adjacent terminology.
Target MyMichigan Health's patient access openings
Customer service hiring at regional health systems like MyMichigan often flows through patient access and revenue cycle departments. Search those department labels alongside customer service when browsing open roles so you don't miss relevant listings.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment before your final interview
Healthcare employers receiving federal funding are required to use E-Verify for employment eligibility. Confirming MyMichigan Health's E-Verify participation ahead of your offer conversation means you're not caught off guard during onboarding paperwork.
Build your H-1B petition timeline around MyMichigan's hiring cycles
If you're targeting H-1B sponsorship, work backward from the April 1 USCIS filing window. A late-fall or winter offer gives your employer enough runway to prepare the Labor Condition Application with DOL and file before the cap registration deadline.
Use Migrate Mate to find open roles by visa type
Filtering job boards by sponsorship type wastes time when you're targeting a specific employer. Migrate Mate lets you browse MyMichigan Health's current Customer Service openings filtered by the visa categories they actively sponsor, so you apply to roles that are actually viable for your status.

Find Customer Service at MyMichigan Health JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does MyMichigan Health sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Service?
Yes, MyMichigan Health has sponsored H-1B visas for Customer Service roles. Regional health systems commonly use H-1B sponsorship for patient-facing and administrative functions when qualified candidates are on that status. If you're pursuing this path, factor in the USCIS cap registration window in March and work with your hiring contact to confirm the employer's H-1B filing readiness before accepting an offer.
How do I apply for Customer Service jobs at MyMichigan Health?
You can browse open Customer Service positions at MyMichigan Health through their careers portal or through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can quickly identify listings relevant to your status. When applying, include your visa classification and work authorization end date in your cover letter. MyMichigan Health's patient access and revenue cycle departments are the most common hiring channels for customer service candidates.
Which visa types does MyMichigan Health sponsor for Customer Service roles?
MyMichigan Health sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT for Customer Service positions. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible professional categories. F-1 OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates, with H-1B sponsorship often following for candidates who transition into longer-term roles within the health system.
What qualifications does MyMichigan Health expect for Customer Service roles?
MyMichigan Health's customer service positions typically require experience in healthcare-adjacent environments, including patient intake, insurance verification, medical billing, or call center operations within a clinical setting. Familiarity with electronic health record systems is a practical advantage. For international candidates, strong written and verbal English communication skills are a baseline requirement given the patient-facing nature of the work.
How do I plan my timeline if I need visa sponsorship from MyMichigan Health?
Your timeline depends on your current status. F-1 OPT candidates should secure an offer before their OPT authorization expires, since the 60-day grace period does not include work authorization. TN holders can typically start once documentation is completed at the port of entry. H-1B candidates targeting cap-subject sponsorship need an offer by late February to allow time for DOL Labor Condition Application certification and USCIS registration in March.
