Job Roles at MyMichigan Health Companies
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in MyMichigan Health Visa Sponsorship USA
Target clinical and technical roles first
MyMichigan Health's sponsorship activity is concentrated in clinical and allied health positions. Physicians, nurses, and medical technologists in specialty departments tend to have the strongest sponsorship precedent, so focus your search there.
Understand their H-1B sponsorship pattern
MyMichigan Health has a documented history of H-1B sponsorship in healthcare roles. Referencing their track record directly during interviews signals you've done your research and reduces friction around the sponsorship conversation.
Use Migrate Mate to confirm open roles with sponsorship history
Not every job posting makes sponsorship eligibility clear. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and find active MyMichigan Health openings without guessing which roles are eligible.
Ask about TN eligibility if you're Canadian or Mexican
MyMichigan Health sponsors TN visas, which is relatively uncommon among regional health systems. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying healthcare occupations should specifically ask about the TN pathway during the hiring process.
Prepare for a longer onboarding timeline in healthcare
Healthcare sponsorship involves credentialing, licensing, and immigration steps running concurrently. Account for this extended timeline when planning your start date, and confirm whether MyMichigan Health's HR team coordinates immigration counsel in-house.

Does MyMichigan Health sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, MyMichigan Health sponsors H-1B visas and has a consistent track record of doing so in clinical and technical healthcare roles. If you're applying in a specialty where a degree in a specific field is required, the role is likely to qualify as a specialty occupation. Raise sponsorship early in the interview process so the hiring team can confirm eligibility with their immigration contacts.
Which visa types does MyMichigan Health sponsor?
MyMichigan Health sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas. The H-1B is the primary long-term work authorization path for international hires, while OPT and CPT support students and recent graduates transitioning into the workforce. TN sponsorship is available to qualifying Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible healthcare occupations, which is a meaningful differentiator for a regional health system.
Which departments or roles at MyMichigan Health are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at MyMichigan Health is most prevalent in clinical and allied health departments, including roles such as physicians, nurses, medical technologists, and specialized therapy positions. These roles typically meet the specialty occupation threshold required for H-1B petitions. Administrative or general support roles are less commonly sponsored, so targeting patient-facing or technically specialized positions gives you the strongest chance.
How do I find open jobs at MyMichigan Health that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most reliable way to find MyMichigan Health roles with verified sponsorship history. Rather than relying on job postings that rarely specify visa eligibility, Migrate Mate lets you filter by sponsor and see confirmed filing activity, so you can apply to roles where sponsorship is already established rather than hoping to negotiate it from scratch.
How do I approach the sponsorship conversation when applying to MyMichigan Health?
Be transparent about your visa status early, ideally in the initial recruiter call. Healthcare employers like MyMichigan Health that actively sponsor visas have internal processes for managing immigration, so the conversation is usually expected. Come prepared with your visa timeline, your OPT or current status expiration date, and any prior sponsorship experience. This demonstrates you understand the process and reduces the recruiter's uncertainty about complexity.
