Target roles aligned with Green Card pathways
Ninth Wave's sponsorship history skews toward permanent residence, not temporary work visas. Focus your application on technical or specialized roles where employers typically initiate PERM labor certification, signaling a long-term hiring commitment.
Understand which visa types Ninth Wave supports
Ninth Wave sponsors EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visas. If you're on OPT or CPT, you may be eligible to start immediately while the company assesses longer-term sponsorship options for your role.
Lead with your long-term value in applications
Companies sponsoring Green Cards are investing significantly in an employee's future. Frame your application around retention and impact, demonstrating you're a candidate worth a multi-year sponsorship commitment in the Technology & Software sector.
Use OPT or CPT as a foot in the door
Ninth Wave sponsors F-1 OPT and CPT, making it accessible for recent graduates. Starting on a student work authorization can build the internal track record needed before a company initiates permanent residence sponsorship on your behalf.
Search for verified sponsorship history before applying
Not every tech company that lists jobs actively sponsors visas. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you prioritize Ninth Wave and similar companies with confirmed Green Card or work visa activity.
Consider TN if you're Canadian or Mexican
Ninth Wave sponsors TN visas, which cover specific professional categories under the USMCA treaty. If you're a Canadian or Mexican national in a qualifying technical role, TN sponsorship can be a faster and simpler entry point than other visa categories.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Ninth Wave sponsor H-1B visas?
Based on available sponsorship data, Ninth Wave does not have a record of H-1B visa sponsorship. Their visa activity has concentrated on permanent residence pathways such as EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, along with F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN visa, and J-1 visas. If H-1B visa sponsorship is a priority, confirm directly with their hiring team during the recruitment process.
Which visa types does Ninth Wave sponsor?
Ninth Wave sponsors a range of visa types including EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visas. Their track record suggests a stronger orientation toward permanent residence sponsorship than temporary work visas, which is relatively uncommon and can be a meaningful advantage for candidates seeking long-term U.S. authorization.
What types of roles at Ninth Wave are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Given Ninth Wave's Technology & Software focus, sponsorship is most likely for specialized technical roles where candidates bring skills that are difficult to source domestically. Positions in software development, data engineering, or technology infrastructure tend to align with the kinds of roles employers pursue PERM labor certification for, which is the foundation of EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship.
How do I find open jobs at Ninth Wave that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most reliable way to find roles at companies like Ninth Wave with verified sponsorship history. Rather than guessing whether a job listing includes sponsorship, Migrate Mate lets you filter by visa type and confirmed sponsor activity, so you can apply with confidence that the employer has an established track record.
How do I approach the application process at Ninth Wave as an international candidate?
Start by identifying roles where your background aligns with the technical needs of a software or technology company. Because Ninth Wave's sponsorship history centers on Green Card pathways, emphasize long-term commitment and specialized expertise in your application. If you're currently on F-1 OPT or CPT, note your immediate availability, since Ninth Wave sponsors both and may use that period to evaluate fit before initiating permanent residence sponsorship.
