Frame Your Degree Around Logistics Operations
Nordstrom's Supply Chain roles in demand planning and fulfillment typically require a degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or operations research. Confirm your credential maps to the specialty occupation definition before applying.
Target Distribution and Fulfillment Center Postings
Nordstrom staffs supply chain talent across both corporate headquarters in Seattle and regional fulfillment centers. Roles tied to distribution operations or inventory systems often move faster through hiring pipelines than corporate strategy positions.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope During the Offer Stage
Nordstrom sponsors across multiple visa categories for Supply Chain, so ask HR explicitly whether your offer covers H-1B filing only or includes a PERM-based Green Card pathway. Getting this confirmed in writing prevents misalignment after you accept.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Open Supply Chain Roles
Search Migrate Mate to filter Nordstrom Supply Chain postings by visa type, so you can prioritize roles where your specific sponsorship category is actively supported before investing time in applications.
Understand TN Eligibility If You Hold Canadian or Mexican Citizenship
Supply chain analysts and industrial engineers at Nordstrom may qualify for TN status under USMCA professional categories. TN has no cap, no lottery, and can often be secured at a port of entry, making it faster than waiting for H-1B selection.

Find Supply Chain at Nordstrom JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Nordstrom sponsor H-1B visas for Supply Chain roles?
Yes, Nordstrom sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Supply Chain positions. Roles in demand planning, logistics technology, and inventory operations have historically supported H-1B petitions. Because H-1B is subject to an annual lottery, Nordstrom typically initiates the USCIS registration process in March for positions starting October 1. Confirming sponsorship intent with your recruiter early in the process is essential.
How do I apply for Supply Chain jobs at Nordstrom?
Applications go through Nordstrom's careers portal at nordstromcareers.com. Filter by function using Supply Chain or Logistics categories. Tailor your resume to reflect system-specific experience such as warehouse management systems, demand planning tools, or transportation management platforms that appear in the job description. Migrate Mate also lists Nordstrom Supply Chain openings filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility, which can help you identify the right roles faster.
Which visa types does Nordstrom commonly use for Supply Chain positions?
Nordstrom supports H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card categories for Supply Chain roles. OPT and CPT are common entry points for new graduates, while TN is frequently used for Canadian and Mexican nationals in analyst or engineering roles. H-1B and EB-based sponsorship are typically offered for mid-level and senior positions with longer hiring horizons.
What qualifications does Nordstrom look for in Supply Chain candidates needing sponsorship?
Nordstrom Supply Chain roles generally require a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, operations research, or a related quantitative field. Hands-on experience with inventory planning software, ERP systems, or distribution operations carries significant weight. For H-1B sponsorship, the role must qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, meaning a degree in a specific field must be a normal requirement for the position.
How do I plan my timeline if I need visa sponsorship for a Nordstrom Supply Chain role?
If you're relying on H-1B sponsorship, work backward from October 1, the earliest possible start date after a successful lottery. USCIS registration opens each March, so you need a signed offer in place before that window. If you're on OPT with STEM extension, you may have up to three years of work authorization, giving you more flexibility to join and then pursue H-1B sponsorship in a subsequent lottery cycle.
