Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
Engineering Technician roles at Persistent Systems must qualify as specialty occupations under H-1B rules. Frame your degree and experience around a specific engineering discipline, not general technical support, so USCIS can clearly tie your qualifications to the role.
Research Persistent Systems' active client verticals
Persistent Systems staffs Engineering Technicians across healthcare IT, financial services, and enterprise software clients. Targeting your application toward a live client engagement in your technical specialty increases your fit score and signals to recruiters you understand where the work actually sits.
Surface your TN eligibility before the H-1B lottery
If you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship, TN classification for engineering roles bypasses the H-1B cap entirely. Confirm your engineering discipline appears on the DOL-approved TN occupation list and flag this to Persistent Systems' recruiting team early in the process.
Clarify sponsorship scope during the offer stage
Ask Persistent Systems directly whether the offer covers just the initial H-1B or also includes PERM-based Green Card sponsorship. Knowing their standard practice for Engineering Technicians, not a verbal assurance, lets you plan your long-term status correctly before signing.
Use Migrate Mate to target open Engineering Technician roles
Filter for Engineering Technician positions at Persistent Systems that explicitly support visa sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsoring employers so you spend time on applications with a real path to status, not on roles where sponsorship is uncertain.
Prepare project documentation that reflects billable deliverables
Persistent Systems' client-facing structure means hiring managers want evidence of discrete technical contributions, not just job duties. Build a concise portfolio of project outcomes tied to measurable results before your interview, since that framing also strengthens the employer's H-1B petition narrative.

Find Engineering Technician at Persistent Systems JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Persistent Systems sponsor H-1B visas for Engineering Technicians?
Yes, Persistent Systems sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering Technician roles where the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering field. The company has a consistent track record of filing H-1B petitions for this function. Your degree must align directly with the technical scope of the specific role, not engineering in general.
Which visa types are commonly used for Engineering Technician roles at Persistent Systems?
Persistent Systems primarily uses H-1B for Engineering Technicians requiring U.S. employer sponsorship. For Canadian and Mexican nationals whose engineering discipline appears on the DOL-approved list, TN classification is a cap-exempt alternative available at the border or port of entry. Persistent Systems also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for Engineering Technicians in longer-term engagements.
How do I apply for Engineering Technician jobs at Persistent Systems?
You can browse and apply for Engineering Technician positions at Persistent Systems through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles where visa sponsorship is confirmed. Filter by role type and visa category to identify the most relevant openings. Applying through a focused, sponsorship-verified job board reduces the risk of spending time on roles where international candidates are not considered.
What qualifications does Persistent Systems expect for Engineering Technician roles?
Persistent Systems typically expects a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline such as computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a closely related field. Hands-on experience with systems integration, technical troubleshooting, or software deployment is weighted heavily. Client-facing project experience and familiarity with enterprise technology environments strengthen your candidacy, since most Engineering Technician roles sit within active client delivery engagements.
How do I understand the timeline from offer to starting work on an H-1B at Persistent Systems?
Once Persistent Systems extends an offer, the H-1B process typically begins with Labor Condition Application certification through DOL, which takes about seven business days under standard processing. The I-129 petition is then filed with USCIS. Standard processing runs several months, but premium processing reduces the USCIS adjudication window to 15 business days. H-1B cap petitions have an October 1 start date, so your offer timing relative to the annual lottery affects when you can begin.
