- Strong experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems and data infrastructure.
- Experience with observability platforms or AI/ML-powered infrastructure is a plus.
- Strong technical judgment and execution skills, with the ability to balance long-term platform investments with near-term business priorities.
- Passion for developer experience, platform engineering, and applying AI to improve engineering productivity and operational excellence.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills across engineering, product, and infrastructure teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Partner with stakeholders across the company to define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the next generation of observability infrastructure at Roblox.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers building AI-powered observability platforms and intelligent developer infrastructure.
- Foster a strong engineering culture centered on ownership, execution, innovation, collaboration, and customer impact.
- Drive initiatives that improve developer productivity, operational excellence, and platform reliability at scale.
- Help shape the future of AI-driven developer tooling, CI/CD, testing, and DevOps experiences across Roblox.

Tips for Finding Engineering Program Manager Jobs at Roblox
Frame Your EPM Portfolio Around Platform Scale
Roblox EPM roles emphasize coordinating engineering work across distributed systems at massive scale. Before applying, document projects where you drove cross-team alignment on infrastructure, runtime, or developer tooling, not just feature delivery.
Confirm Your Visa Category Before Applying
Roblox sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, H-1B1 visa, and F-1 OPT, so your visa type shapes your timeline. Australians on E-3 or Canadians on TN can start faster than H-1B candidates waiting on an October 1 start date.
Target Roles Aligned to Core Infrastructure Teams
Roblox's EPM openings cluster around platform engineering, trust and safety systems, and developer experience. Applying to roles in these areas increases your fit signal, since EPM hiring here skews toward candidates with technical depth in distributed systems.
Understand the LCA Step Before Your Offer Stage
Before Roblox can file your H-1B petition with USCIS, the company must submit a Labor Condition Application to the DOL certifying prevailing wage compliance. Ask your recruiter about their standard filing timeline so you can plan your start date accurately.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Active EPM Openings
Roblox posts EPM roles across multiple engineering verticals, and openings move quickly. Use Migrate Mate to filter current Engineering Program Manager jobs at Roblox by visa type so you can prioritize roles that match your sponsorship situation.
Preserve Your OPT STEM Extension If You Have It
If you're on F-1 OPT and miss the H-1B lottery, a 24-month STEM extension keeps you authorized while your employer refiles next cycle. Confirm that your EPM role at Roblox qualifies under your STEM-designated degree field before accepting an offer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Roblox sponsor H-1B visas for Engineering Program Managers?
Yes, Roblox sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering Program Manager roles. The company has a consistent pattern of filing petitions for this function. Because H-1B status is tied to an annual lottery with an October 1 start date, confirm your timeline with the recruiting team early so your offer terms account for any gap between your lottery selection and your first day.
Which visa types does Roblox commonly sponsor for Engineering Program Manager roles?
Roblox sponsors several visa categories for Engineering Program Managers, including H-1B, H-1B1 visa for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, E-3 visa for Australian citizens, TN visa for Canadian and Mexican professionals, F-1 OPT, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. Which category applies depends on your nationality and current immigration status.
What qualifications does Roblox expect for Engineering Program Manager roles?
Roblox EPM roles typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, along with experience managing complex, cross-functional engineering programs. Familiarity with distributed systems, large-scale platform development, or developer tooling ecosystems is a consistent signal across open roles. Senior EPM positions often expect prior experience coordinating multi-team technical roadmaps.
How do I apply for Engineering Program Manager jobs at Roblox?
You can find and apply for Engineering Program Manager roles at Roblox through Migrate Mate, which lets you filter openings by visa sponsorship type so you see roles that match your immigration status. Applications go through Roblox's own hiring process, which typically includes a recruiter screen, technical program management exercises, and cross-functional interviews with engineering and product stakeholders.
How do I manage the visa filing timeline when starting an EPM role at Roblox?
Timeline depends on your visa category. H-1B candidates selected in the April lottery can start no earlier than October 1, so factor that into your offer negotiation. E-3 and TN holders can often start within weeks of an offer. For all categories, Roblox's legal team handles the USCIS or DOL filings, but you should request written confirmation of expected processing milestones before resigning from a current role.
