Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Electronic Engineer Jobs at Schneider Electric Jobs
Align your credentials to IEC and UL standards
Schneider Electric's hardware and power electronics roles frequently reference IEC 61010, UL 508A, and similar standards in job descriptions. Documenting your hands-on experience with these in your resume signals you can contribute immediately, which matters when a company is weighing visa filing costs.
Target roles tied to core product lines
Positions supporting EcoStruxure, APC power systems, or industrial automation controls tend to sit within established engineering teams that have sponsored visas before. Applying to those business units improves your odds versus newer or peripheral roles that may lack sponsorship precedent.
Clarify visa timeline expectations before the offer stage
H-1B cap filings are locked to the April lottery window, so if you're not already in status, discuss whether Schneider Electric will file your petition in the next registration cycle. Knowing this before you negotiate avoids costly miscommunications once an offer is extended.
Understand how E-3 changes your filing path
If you're an Australian citizen, the E-3 visa bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely and allows consular processing in as little as a few weeks. Confirm with the recruiter early that Schneider Electric's legal team is familiar with E-3 filings for engineering roles.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by sponsorship type
Schneider Electric posts Electronic Engineer openings across multiple locations with different sponsorship eligibility. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles where H-1B or E-3 sponsorship is confirmed, so you're not spending time on positions that won't move forward.
Prepare for PERM documentation well before green card discussions
Schneider Electric sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 green cards for engineering roles, but the PERM labor certification process requires the company to document a specific recruitment effort. Ask your hiring manager early which EB category your role typically qualifies under so you can gather supporting credentials in advance.

Find Electronic Engineer at Schneider Electric JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Schneider Electric sponsor H-1B visas for Electronic Engineers?
Yes, Schneider Electric sponsors H-1B visas for Electronic Engineer roles. The company has filed H-1B petitions for engineering positions across its manufacturing, power systems, and automation divisions. If you're subject to the H-1B cap, confirm with the recruiter whether the role qualifies for cap-exempt filing through a research partnership or requires entering the annual USCIS lottery in April.
How do I apply for Electronic Engineer jobs at Schneider Electric?
Applications go through Schneider Electric's careers portal, where roles are listed by business unit and location. Search for Electronic Engineer titles filtered by your target city or product division. Before applying, review whether the job description explicitly references visa sponsorship. You can also browse open positions through Migrate Mate, which surfaces Schneider Electric roles filtered by confirmed sponsorship type.
Which visa types does Schneider Electric commonly use for Electronic Engineers?
Schneider Electric sponsors H-1B, E-3, and employment-based Green Cards (EB-2 and EB-3) for Electronic Engineer roles. H-1B is the most common path for non-Australian engineers. Australian citizens can use the E-3, which skips the lottery and allows faster consular processing. For longer-term permanent residency, the company has sponsored PERM-based EB-2 and EB-3 petitions for qualifying engineering positions.
What qualifications does Schneider Electric expect for Electronic Engineer roles?
Most Electronic Engineer roles at Schneider Electric require a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics, or a closely related field. Positions in power systems or industrial automation often expect familiarity with hardware design, PCB layout, or firmware development. Roles tied to certifications like IEC 61010 or UL 508A compliance are common in the manufacturing division and show up frequently in job descriptions.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for Electronic Engineer roles at Schneider Electric?
Timeline depends on visa type. E-3 consular processing for Australian engineers typically takes two to six weeks after the employer files the Labor Condition Application with the DOL. H-1B petitions require entering the April lottery, with employment start dates no earlier than October 1 of that year. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship is a multi-year process and is typically discussed after you've established yourself in the role.
