Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Senior Software Engineering Jobs at Schneider Electric Jobs
Align your stack with Schneider's industrial platforms
Schneider Electric's Senior Software Engineering roles frequently touch EcoStruxure, SCADA systems, and IIoT platforms. Frame your experience around embedded software, real-time systems, or industrial protocol integration before you apply, not after you get the call.
Confirm LCA filing before accepting an offer
Before signing anything, verify that your offer letter specifies Schneider Electric's intent to file a Labor Condition Application with DOL. For H-1B transfers, the LCA must be certified before your start date, and gaps in this step create avoidable status problems.
Target roles outside the H-1B cap window
Schneider Electric has cap-exempt affiliated entities and research-adjacent projects. If you're applying outside the April lottery season, ask your recruiter explicitly whether the specific business unit files cap-exempt petitions or holds H-1B transfers for existing visa holders year-round.
Prepare your credentials for specialty occupation documentation
USCIS scrutinizes whether Senior Software Engineering roles at manufacturing companies qualify as specialty occupations. Have your transcripts evaluated and map your degree field directly to the technical requirements in the job description before the petition is drafted.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Senior Software Engineering roles at Schneider Electric
Filter by sponsorship type and role seniority on Migrate Mate to surface active Schneider Electric listings that match your visa category. This saves significant time compared to manually cross-referencing job boards with DOL disclosure data.
Understand Schneider's PERM timeline for Green Card sponsorship
Schneider Electric sponsors Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 categories, which require PERM labor certification through DOL. The process typically takes two to four years from initiation to I-140 approval, so raise the conversation early in the offer negotiation stage.

Find Senior Software Engineering at Schneider Electric JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Schneider Electric sponsor H-1B visas for Senior Software Engineers?
Yes. Schneider Electric sponsors H-1B visas for Senior Software Engineering roles, including both new cap-subject petitions filed through the annual lottery and cap-exempt transfers for candidates already holding H-1B status. If you're mid-visa-year, ask your recruiter whether your specific role and business unit qualifies for a transfer without waiting for the next lottery cycle.
Which visa types does Schneider Electric commonly sponsor for Senior Software Engineering roles?
Schneider Electric sponsors H-1B visas for most Senior Software Engineering hires requiring work authorization. Australian citizens are eligible for the E-3 visa, which bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely and can be processed faster. For long-term permanent residence, Schneider Electric also sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card petitions through the PERM labor certification process with DOL.
What qualifications does Schneider Electric expect for Senior Software Engineering roles?
Schneider Electric typically expects a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related technical field, combined with substantial software development experience. For senior-level roles, hands-on experience with industrial software platforms, cloud-connected systems, or embedded development is a practical differentiator. USCIS also requires that your degree field directly supports the specialty occupation claim, so an indirect degree match can complicate the H-1B petition.
How do I apply for Senior Software Engineering jobs at Schneider Electric?
Start by browsing open Senior Software Engineering positions on Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm Schneider Electric is actively sponsoring before you apply. Submit your application through Schneider Electric's career portal and tailor your resume to reference specific platforms like EcoStruxure or IIoT experience. Following up with the recruiting team after submission improves response rates for senior technical roles.
How long does the visa sponsorship process typically take for a Senior Software Engineering hire at Schneider Electric?
For H-1B transfers from an existing visa, the process can move in two to four weeks once the LCA is certified by DOL. New cap-subject H-1B petitions follow the annual April lottery, with an October 1 start date at the earliest. E-3 consular processing for Australian candidates typically takes two to six weeks from the interview date. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship runs on a longer timeline of two to four years or more depending on priority dates.
