Align your credentials to FDA-regulated manufacturing
Shermco operates in medical devices, where production roles often require familiarity with ISO 13485 standards and FDA quality system regulations. Documenting that experience explicitly in your resume strengthens your case before you ever apply.
Target roles matching your specific visa category
Shermco sponsors multiple visa types including F-1 OPT, CPT, TN, and J-1. Check whether the Manufacturing role you're targeting aligns with your current status before applying, since different positions may be scoped for different authorization pathways.
Search open Manufacturing roles using Migrate Mate
Filter by visa type and industry to surface Shermco's active Manufacturing openings. Migrate Mate's job board is built specifically for work-authorized candidates, so listings are pre-screened for sponsorship eligibility rather than requiring you to dig through employer FAQs.
Prepare your TN documentation before the offer stage
If you're a Canadian or Mexican citizen applying for a manufacturing-related role, TN classification requires a detailed support letter from Shermco describing how the position qualifies. Request that letter early so border processing doesn't delay your start date.
Understand PERM timing for EB-2 and EB-3 pathways
Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 requires DOL PERM labor certification before USCIS can adjudicate the petition. That process typically runs 12 to 18 months minimum, so raise the topic during offer negotiation rather than after you've started.
Confirm OPT authorization covers your exact start date
F-1 OPT has a 14-month STEM extension available for qualifying manufacturing roles in medical devices, but your I-20 endorsement and EAD card must reflect valid dates on day one. Verify both documents against your expected offer letter start date before signing.

Does Shermco Industries sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturing roles?
Shermco Industries' primary sponsored visa types for Manufacturing include EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1. H-1B sponsorship is not prominently featured in their Manufacturing hiring activity. If H-1B is your only viable pathway, clarify sponsorship scope directly with the hiring team before investing significant time in the application process.
How do I apply for Manufacturing jobs at Shermco Industries?
You can browse Shermco's open Manufacturing positions through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can identify roles that match your authorization. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight regulated manufacturing experience relevant to medical devices, and address visa requirements clearly in your cover materials rather than leaving them for a recruiter to ask about.
Which visa types does Shermco Industries commonly use for Manufacturing positions?
Shermco Industries sponsors F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, and TN visas for Manufacturing roles, along with employment-based Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3. TN is a practical option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying manufacturing occupations. F-1 OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates. EB-2 and EB-3 represent longer-term permanent residency tracks requiring PERM labor certification through the DOL.
What qualifications does Shermco Industries expect for Manufacturing roles?
Manufacturing roles in the medical device sector typically require a technical degree in engineering, industrial technology, or a related field, combined with hands-on production or quality experience. Familiarity with FDA quality system regulations and ISO 13485 standards is a practical differentiator. For EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, the role must meet DOL-defined minimum requirements that will be documented during the PERM process.
How do I plan my timeline when pursuing sponsorship through Shermco Industries?
Timeline depends heavily on your visa category. TN processing can happen at the border or port of entry, often within a single day. F-1 OPT authorization requires USCIS processing of up to 90 days, so apply well before your program end date. EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways involve DOL PERM labor certification followed by USCIS petition adjudication, a process that routinely extends beyond one year before you reach permanent resident status.
