Key Responsibilities
- ABAP Cloud & Application Development
- Design and develop ABAP Cloud compliant applications using ABAP for Cloud (Steampunk)
- Build end to end solutions using the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP)
- Develop behavior definitions, CDS views, service definitions, and OData services
- Ensure cloud ready syntax (no classic ABAP, no implicit DB access, whitelisted APIs only)
- Clean Core & Extensibility
- Implement side by side extensions on SAP BTP instead of core modifications
- Refactor or remediate custom Z code to comply with Clean Core principles
- Leverage released SAP APIs and events for integration and extensibility
- SAP BTP & Integration
- Develop ABAP services on SAP BTP ABAP Environment
Integrate With
- SAP S/4HANA (Public / Private)
- Non SAP systems using REST/OData, SOAP, Events
- Collaborate with integration teams using SAP BTP Integration Suite
Testing, Quality & Compliance
- Perform ABAP Unit Testing and cloud compatible test automation
- Ensure code quality using ATC, cloud checks, and SAP best practices
- Support GxP/SOX compliant development and validation documentation (if applicable)
DevOps & Transport Management
- Work with gCTS, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud based transport mechanisms
- Support cloud native development lifecycle and agile delivery models
