Verify Your NCLEX Before Applying
Southeast Georgia Health System requires active RN licensure for every Registered Nurse hire. Passing the NCLEX and obtaining Georgia state licensure before you apply removes a major hiring barrier and signals you're ready to start immediately.
Research Open Units Matching Your Specialty
Southeast Georgia Health System consistently posts Registered Nurse openings across multiple service lines. Target roles that align with your clinical background, such as med-surg, ICU, or ER, since specialty fit strengthens both your application and the employer's case for sponsorship.
Prepare Your Credentials for Employer Verification
Southeast Georgia Health System participates in E-Verify, so your work authorization documents must be in order at the time of hire. Have your credential evaluation, nursing license, and any visa documentation ready before the offer stage to avoid delays.
Ask Specifically About H-1B Filing Timelines
H-1B petitions for Registered Nurses follow USCIS cap and lottery rules, with registrations opening in March for an October 1 start date. Confirm with the recruiter early whether the hospital files in time for the current cycle or plans for a future one.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Sponsoring RN Roles
Not every hospital job board filters by visa sponsorship type. Use Migrate Mate to browse Registered Nurse openings at Southeast Georgia Health System that are confirmed to support H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, or TN sponsorship, saving you from applying to roles that won't move forward.

Find Registered Nurse at Southeast Georgia Health System JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Southeast Georgia Health System sponsor H-1B visas for Registered Nurses?
Yes, Southeast Georgia Health System sponsors H-1B visas for Registered Nurse roles. H-1B sponsorship for nurses requires the employer to file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL and submit a petition to USCIS. Because H-1B is subject to an annual cap and lottery, timing your application early in the hiring process matters significantly.
How do I apply for Registered Nurse jobs at Southeast Georgia Health System?
Applications go through Southeast Georgia Health System's careers portal, where Registered Nurse openings are listed by unit and location. You can also find sponsorship-confirmed RN postings directly through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles where the employer has an active visa sponsorship track record, helping you prioritize where to focus your efforts.
Which visa types are commonly used for Registered Nurse roles at Southeast Georgia Health System?
Southeast Georgia Health System supports H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for Registered Nurse positions. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican citizens and processes quickly. F-1 OPT and CPT are typically used by nursing graduates in their post-study work authorization period. H-1B is the most common long-term path for international RNs seeking multi-year employment.
What qualifications does Southeast Georgia Health System expect from Registered Nurse applicants?
You'll need an active RN license in Georgia or eligibility for endorsement, a nursing degree from an accredited program, and NCLEX passage. Clinical experience in a relevant specialty strengthens your candidacy significantly. International applicants should also have a credential evaluation completed, as U.S. hospitals require verification that foreign nursing degrees meet domestic education standards.
How long does the visa sponsorship process typically take for Registered Nurses at Southeast Georgia Health System?
Timeline depends on the visa type. TN processing can happen at the border on the day of travel. F-1 OPT authorization through USCIS takes up to 90 days, so apply early. H-1B petitions are tied to the federal fiscal year cycle, meaning a cap-subject approval typically results in a start date no earlier than October 1 following the March lottery.
