Verify Your Credentials Meet Georgia Requirements
Healthcare roles in Georgia often require state licensure before an employer can finalize a visa petition. Confirm your nursing board exam results, clinical certifications, or allied health credentials are transferable under Georgia state rules before applying.
Target Roles That Match Your Visa Category
TN visa holders must fit DOL-defined healthcare occupations like physical therapist or medical technologist. Confirm your specific job title aligns with TN treaty categories or H-1B specialty occupation standards before reaching out to Southeast Georgia's recruiters.
Browse Open Positions Through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Southeast Georgia Health System's open healthcare roles by visa type so you focus only on positions where sponsorship is a realistic outcome, not a long shot.
Ask Recruiters About LCA Timing Early
Your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with DOL before an H-1B petition can move forward. Asking about this step during the offer stage helps you gauge whether the hiring team understands the process and has done it before.
Align Your Application With Rural Healthcare Demand
Southeast Georgia serves a largely rural region with documented workforce shortages. Emphasizing adaptability to community-based care settings and experience in high-need specialties like med-surg or radiology strengthens your candidacy at this type of health system.
Account for Credential Evaluation in Your Timeline
If your degree was earned outside the U.S., USCIS requires a credential evaluation for H-1B specialty occupation petitions. Getting a NACES-member evaluation completed before an offer is extended prevents delays once the employer is ready to file.

Find Healthcare at Southeast Georgia Health System JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Southeast Georgia Health System sponsor H-1B visas for Healthcares?
Yes, Southeast Georgia Health System has sponsored H-1B visas for healthcare roles. The H-1B is the most common path for clinical and technical positions that require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Your role must qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, and your employer initiates the entire petition process on your behalf.
How do I apply for Healthcare jobs at Southeast Georgia Health System?
Applications go through Southeast Georgia Health System's careers portal, where roles are listed by department and location. You can also browse their open healthcare positions filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate, which makes it easier to identify listings where international candidates are actively considered before you invest time in a full application.
Which visa types are commonly used for Healthcare roles at Southeast Georgia Health System?
The most common visa types for healthcare roles here are H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT or CPT for students and recent graduates. TN is an efficient option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying clinical occupations. F-1 OPT gives recent graduates a window to work while transitioning to a long-term sponsored visa category.
What qualifications are expected for Healthcare roles at Southeast Georgia Health System?
Requirements vary by role, but most clinical positions require a relevant degree, active state licensure or certification, and demonstrated hands-on experience in your specialty. Allied health and technical roles often require specific credentialing from a nationally recognized body. For H-1B purposes, your degree must directly relate to the duties of the position you're being hired into.
How do I plan my timeline when pursuing a sponsored Healthcare role?
H-1B cap-subject petitions are filed once a year with an April 1 filing window, meaning you need an offer several months in advance. TN status can be obtained at the border with much shorter notice. If you're on OPT, your 60-day grace period after graduation is not work-authorized, so coordinating your start date with your employer and USCIS filing timelines is critical.
