Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Nursing Jobs at Sun River Health Jobs
Get your credentials evaluated before applying
Foreign nursing education must be reviewed by a CGFNS-approved credential evaluation service before USCIS will process an employment-based petition. Complete this step early, evaluation timelines can run several months and will gate every downstream filing.
Confirm your NCLEX and state licensure status
Sun River Health operates in New York, so you'll need a valid New York RN license before you can start. If you're still NCLEX-pending, communicate that timeline clearly to hiring managers so they can plan around your expected start date.
Target Sun River Health's community health openings specifically
Sun River Health primarily serves Federally Qualified Health Center patient populations. Roles in community and preventive care settings tend to align with their sponsorship history, so prioritize those postings when browsing Nursing positions rather than applying broadly.
Use Migrate Mate to filter sponsored Nursing roles
Searching for visa-sponsoring healthcare employers manually is slow and unreliable. Migrate Mate surfaces Nursing positions at employers like Sun River Health that have an active sponsorship track record, so you're applying where sponsorship is a realistic outcome.
Understand how EB-3 PERM timelines affect your start date
EB-3 sponsorship requires a DOL PERM labor certification before USCIS can approve the immigrant petition. The full process from PERM filing to Green Card approval can span one to several years depending on your country of birth and priority date backlog.
Negotiate a clear sponsorship commitment in your offer letter
Before signing, confirm in writing which visa category the employer will file for, who covers filing fees, and what happens to sponsorship if your role changes. Verbal commitments are not binding and become difficult to enforce once you've started.

Find Nursing at Sun River Health JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Sun River Health sponsor H-1B visas for Nursings?
Sun River Health's documented sponsorship activity for Nursing roles focuses on employment-based immigrant visa pathways, particularly EB-2 and EB-3, rather than the H-1B. Nursing roles typically fall under Schedule A shortage occupations, which can streamline the PERM labor certification step for EB-3 petitions. If H-1B sponsorship is a requirement for your situation, clarify this directly with the recruiter before progressing through the hiring process.
Which visa types does Sun River Health commonly use for Nursing roles?
Sun River Health has sponsored Nursing candidates through EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories, as well as TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals who qualify under USMCA. F-1 OPT and CPT are also listed, which may apply to candidates completing U.S.-based nursing programs. Each pathway has different eligibility criteria and timelines, so confirm which category fits your background before applying.
What qualifications and experience does Sun River Health expect for Nursing roles?
Sun River Health predominantly hires for community health and primary care environments. For most RN positions, you'll need an active New York state nursing license, NCLEX passage, and a degree from an accredited program. Foreign-trained nurses must have their credentials evaluated by a CGFNS-approved service before USCIS can process an employment-based petition. Prior experience in federally qualified health center or underserved community settings is a genuine differentiator here.
How do I apply for Nursing jobs at Sun River Health?
The most targeted way to find Nursing openings at Sun River Health that include visa sponsorship is through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by sponsorship track record so you're not guessing. Once you identify a role, apply directly through Sun River Health's careers portal with a resume that clearly states your visa status and expected licensure timeline. Following up with the recruiter to confirm sponsorship availability before the offer stage saves significant time.
How long does the sponsorship and hiring process typically take for Nursing roles?
Timeline depends heavily on which visa pathway applies to you. TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals can be approved at the border or port of entry with the right documentation. EB-3 sponsorship through PERM labor certification is a multi-stage process that typically spans one to several years before you receive a Green Card, with waits varying significantly based on your country of birth and the current priority date bulletin from the Department of State.
