Build your project delivery credentials strategically
Sundt hires Project Managers with field-grounded experience, not just office coordination backgrounds. Before applying, document your direct involvement in budget ownership, subcontractor management, and schedule control on projects comparable in scale and sector to Sundt's portfolio.
Target Sundt's active project regions first
Sundt operates across several distinct regional groups, including Texas, California, and the Southwest. Project Manager openings cluster around active bid wins, so focusing your outreach on regions with ongoing construction activity increases your chances of landing a sponsorship-eligible role.
Clarify your visa timeline before the offer stage
H-1B cap-subject candidates face an annual lottery with an October 1 start date. If you're nearing the end of OPT or CPT, raise your authorization timeline with the recruiter early so Sundt's HR team can plan the I-129 filing window around your status.
Align your degree field with specialty occupation standards
USCIS requires Project Manager roles to qualify as specialty occupations for H-1B sponsorship. A bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field strengthens that argument. Unrelated degrees can complicate the petition, so prepare a clear degree-to-role connection in advance.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Project Manager roles at Sundt
Sundt posts Project Manager positions across multiple regions and business units. Use Migrate Mate to filter for Sundt Construction openings that align with your visa type, so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is actively on the table.
Understand how TN status works for Canadian and Mexican nationals
If you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship, the TN visa category covers engineers and certain management roles and does not require a lottery. Confirm with Sundt's HR whether your specific Project Manager role qualifies under DOL's TN occupation list before accepting an offer structured around TN status.

Find Project Manager at Sundt Construction JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Sundt Construction sponsor H-1B visas for Project Managers?
Yes, Sundt Construction has sponsored H-1B visas for Project Manager roles. The company operates across multiple states and has used H-1B sponsorship for project delivery positions. Because H-1B is cap-subject, timing matters significantly. Cap-exempt options like OPT extensions can bridge the gap while a petition is pending, so aligning your status timeline with Sundt's hiring cycle is important.
How do I apply for Project Manager jobs at Sundt Construction?
Applications go through Sundt's careers portal, where openings are listed by region and business unit. You can also find and filter Sundt's Project Manager postings by visa type on Migrate Mate, which makes it easier to identify roles where sponsorship is part of the hiring conversation. Tailoring your application to highlight field experience, subcontractor oversight, and project financials is strongly recommended.
Which visa types does Sundt Construction commonly use for Project Manager roles?
Sundt has sponsored H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visas for its workforce. For Project Manager positions specifically, H-1B and TN are the most relevant long-term options. OPT and CPT are practical for candidates transitioning out of construction-related degree programs and can serve as a bridge while longer-term sponsorship is arranged.
What qualifications does Sundt Construction expect for Project Manager roles?
Sundt typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a closely related field, combined with hands-on project delivery experience. USCIS requires the role to meet specialty occupation standards for H-1B eligibility, so a relevant degree field is not just a hiring preference but also a legal requirement for the petition. Field experience managing budgets, schedules, and subcontractors carries significant weight.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Project Manager role at Sundt?
For H-1B, the standard process runs several months from LCA filing with the DOL through USCIS adjudication, with an October 1 employment start date for cap-subject cases. Premium processing can reduce the USCIS decision window to roughly 15 business days. TN status for eligible Canadian nationals can be obtained at a port of entry, making that pathway considerably faster if your role and nationality qualify.
