Job Roles at Touro University Companies
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Touro University Visa Sponsorship USA
Target academic and clinical departments directly
Touro's sponsorship activity is concentrated in faculty, research, and health sciences roles. Focus your search on departments aligned with your credentials rather than applying broadly, hiring decisions in higher education are often made at the department level.
Understand which visa types Touro actively files
Touro University sponsors H-1B, J-1, TN, and Green Card pathways, among others. Knowing which category fits your background before you apply helps you ask informed questions during interviews and signals to hiring managers that you understand the process.
Apply early in the academic hiring cycle
Universities like Touro typically post faculty and staff positions in the fall and spring semesters. Submitting applications well before a semester starts gives HR enough lead time to initiate sponsorship paperwork, especially for H-1B cap filings.
Highlight credentials that align with specialty occupation standards
H-1B sponsorship at educational institutions requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation. Emphasize your degree field's direct relevance to the position in your application materials to make the employer's visa filing straightforward.
Use Migrate Mate to verify sponsorship history before applying
Not every university role leads to a visa offer. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you prioritize Touro openings where sponsorship has actually been granted before.
Ask about J-1 and TN options if H-1B isn't the right fit
Touro's sponsorship repertoire includes J-1 exchange visitor and TN categories, which can offer faster timelines than H-1B. If you're Canadian, Mexican, or eligible for exchange visitor status, these pathways are worth raising with the hiring team.

Lead with your qualifications and let visa requirements come up naturally once there's mutual interest.
