INTRODUCTION
Are you ready to transcend traditional coding and lead the charge into an AI-Native, Agentic development era? We are looking for a visionary Senior Lead Product Builder to operate as a Technical Founder, using AI as a force multiplier to bridge the gap between complex problems and production-ready solutions at lightning speed.
Trimble is a global technology company that connects the physical and digital worlds, transforming the ways work gets done. With relentless innovation in precise positioning, modeling and data analytics, Trimble enables essential industries including construction, geospatial and transportation. Whether it's helping customers build and maintain infrastructure, design and construct buildings, optimize global supply chains or map the world, Trimble is at the forefront, driving productivity and progress.
AECO: The Trimble AECO segment provides digital construction solutions that increase precision and productivity for Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operations.
What Makes This Role Great:
In this role, you aren’t just a "coder"; you are a Technical Founder within a Pod. You will operate with an entrepreneurial mindset, using AI as a force multiplier to shorten the distance between a "Problem Statement" and a "Production-Ready Solution." You will lead the technical vision for your pod, leaning into ambiguity and shifting your focus from "how many lines of code" to "how much business value" we are delivering. If you are an engineer who thrives on "vibe coding," agent orchestration, and building modular, scalable systems at the speed of thought, this role is for you.
Key Exciting Responsibilities
- End-to-End Feature Development: Design and implement responsive frontend components and robust backend logic that meet high performance and accessibility baselines.
- Agentic Orchestration: Utilize AI coding agents to accelerate delivery by 30-40%, shifting your focus toward defining intent, refining prompts, and validating agentic outputs.
- Automated Quality & Security: Own the testing lifecycle by writing automated unit, integration, and E2E tests for your own code, ensuring high completeness and quality through AI-assisted frameworks.
- Architectural Collaboration: Participate in prototype reviews and conduct high-level technical feasibility scans early in the PDLC to ensure modular, scalable, and cost-aware system designs.
- Entrepreneurial Iteration: Partner with Product Definers to rapidly build, test, and iterate on MVPs, using data-driven insights to refine solutions for real-world customer impact.
- Documentation & Oversight: Leverage AI to generate and maintain high-quality technical documentation, READMEs, and API docs based on code commits and architectural decisions.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience owning complex production systems from end-to-end.
- Full-stack proficiency across multiple languages and frameworks such as Python, React, and AWS/Azure.
- Mastery of AI programming tools and methodologies, including Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Gemini CLI.
- Strong systems thinking with the ability to design modular architectures and understand complex software interdependencies.
Bonus Points For
- Experience in a "Technical Founder" or lead role within an entrepreneurial or startup environment.
- Active involvement in the AI community or personal side projects involving agent orchestration.
- Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and lead self-directed execution in async-first environments.

Align your skills with Trimble's infrastructure stack
Trimble's DevOps roles span cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and platform engineering for manufacturing and geospatial software. Tailor your resume to reflect experience with tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, or Azure DevOps rather than listing generic sysadmin skills.
Confirm OPT authorization before your first interview
If you're on F-1 OPT, make sure your EAD reflects the correct employer and role category before Trimble extends an offer. Trimble participates in E-Verify, so your work authorization documentation needs to be in order from day one.
Target Trimble's engineering divisions that run dedicated DevOps teams
Trimble's technology divisions, including its construction software and agriculture technology units, maintain distinct DevOps functions. Applying directly to division-specific postings rather than broad engineering openings puts your application in front of hiring managers who control sponsorship decisions.
Ask about Green Card sponsorship timelines during offer negotiation
Trimble sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 petitions, which require PERM labor certification before USCIS filing. Clarifying whether your role is designated for sponsored permanent residence, and at what employment milestone, prevents surprises after you've already joined.
Use Migrate Mate to surface Trimble DevOps openings with confirmed sponsorship
Not every Trimble posting flags visa sponsorship explicitly. Migrate Mate filters open DevOps roles at Trimble to show only positions where the company is actively sponsoring, saving you from applying to roles where sponsorship was never on the table.

Find DevOps at Trimble JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Trimble sponsor H-1B visas for DevOps roles?
Yes, Trimble sponsors H-1B visas for DevOps positions. The company has a documented history of filing H-1B petitions for technical roles across its engineering divisions. Because H-1B is subject to the annual lottery, timing matters. If you're already in H-1B status or transferring from another employer, Trimble can file a transfer petition without waiting for the next lottery cycle.
How do I apply for DevOps jobs at Trimble?
Apply directly through Trimble's careers portal, targeting division-specific DevOps postings in areas like construction technology, geospatial software, or agriculture technology. Tailor your application to reflect cloud infrastructure and CI/CD experience relevant to the division's product stack. You can also browse sponsorship-confirmed Trimble DevOps openings on Migrate Mate to identify roles where the company is actively filing for work visas.
Which visa types does Trimble commonly use for DevOps positions?
Trimble sponsors H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT and CPT for DevOps roles, and files EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card petitions for longer-term permanent residence. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals who qualify under computer-related occupational categories. OPT and CPT are common entry points for candidates transitioning from academic programs in computer science or software engineering.
What qualifications does Trimble expect for sponsored DevOps roles?
Trimble's DevOps roles typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related engineering field, along with hands-on experience in cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, container orchestration, and CI/CD tooling. Roles tied to manufacturing or construction software products may also value familiarity with enterprise-grade reliability engineering or on-premise to cloud migration work.
How do I plan my timeline if Trimble is sponsoring my H-1B?
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed in April for an October 1 start date, so an offer from Trimble in late 2025 or early 2026 positions you for the FY2027 lottery. If you're on OPT with a STEM extension, you may be able to bridge that gap with authorized work while your petition is pending. USCIS premium processing is available and reduces adjudication to roughly 15 business days.
