Frame Your Experience Around Revenue Operations
Twilio's Business Operations roles often sit close to GTM and RevOps teams. Align your resume to show experience with sales cycle analysis, tooling like Salesforce or Looker, and cross-functional process improvement rather than generic administrative work.
Target Roles That Map to Specialty Occupation Standards
USCIS requires H-1B roles to qualify as specialty occupations, meaning a specific bachelor's degree field must be a normal requirement. Business Operations titles at Twilio that require degrees in finance, economics, or information systems are stronger candidates than generalist coordinator roles.
Ask Recruiters About LCA Filing Timelines Early
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with DOL before USCIS can process your H-1B petition. At Twilio, ask in the offer stage whether the LCA is already in motion so your start date isn't pushed by a preventable administrative lag.
Use OPT STEM Extension Time Strategically
If you're on F-1 OPT and your degree is in a STEM field like data science or information systems, you may qualify for a 24-month extension, giving you up to three H-1B lottery cycles. Use that runway to build internal credibility at Twilio before your petition window.
Browse Open Roles Through Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters Business Operations jobs by visa sponsorship type, so you can confirm which Twilio roles are open to your status before applying. This saves time you'd otherwise spend reaching out to recruiters before knowing if you're eligible.

Find Business Operations at Twilio JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Twilio sponsor H-1B visas for Business Operations?
Yes, Twilio sponsors H-1B visas for Business Operations roles. The role needs to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which generally means the position requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as finance, business analytics, or information systems. Roles with broader or generalist requirements may face more scrutiny during the petition process.
How do I apply for Business Operations jobs at Twilio?
You can browse and apply for Business Operations roles at Twilio directly through the Twilio careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters open positions by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. When you apply, tailor your materials to Twilio's GTM and revenue operations context, since many Business Operations roles sit close to those functions.
Which visa types does Twilio commonly use for Business Operations roles?
Twilio sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for Business Operations positions. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. F-1 OPT candidates in STEM-adjacent fields may also benefit from the 24-month STEM extension, which provides additional time before needing an H-1B.
What qualifications does Twilio expect for Business Operations roles?
Twilio's Business Operations roles typically require a bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related quantitative field. Beyond credentials, the company looks for hands-on experience with revenue or go-to-market operations, proficiency with tools like Salesforce or SQL, and the ability to translate data into cross-functional recommendations. Advanced degrees or prior experience at SaaS companies strengthens your profile.
How do I think about the timeline from offer to visa sponsorship at Twilio?
The timeline depends on your current status. H-1B petitions must be filed by April 1 for an October 1 start, so if you receive an offer outside that window, your start date may be delayed by up to a year. OPT candidates can start sooner, but need to confirm their OPT end date aligns with the role. Ask Twilio's recruiting team early whether your status requires an H-1B transfer or a new petition.
