Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Healthcare Jobs at UCB Jobs
Align Your Credentials to UCB's Therapeutic Focus
UCB concentrates on neurology and immunology. Tailor your CV and cover letter to highlight experience in these disease areas. Reviewers in Healthcare hiring move faster on candidates whose backgrounds map directly to pipeline priorities.
Verify Your Degree Qualifies as a Specialty Occupation
H-1B eligibility requires a direct relationship between your specific degree and the Healthcare role. A general science degree may not satisfy USCIS requirements for a specialized pharmacovigilance or medical affairs position without supporting documentation.
Use Migrate Mate to Find UCB Healthcare Openings
Filter by Healthcare roles and sponsorship type on Migrate Mate to surface UCB postings that match your visa situation. This saves time you'd otherwise spend manually screening job boards for sponsorship eligibility.

Find Healthcare at UCB JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does UCB sponsor H-1B visas for Healthcares?
Yes, UCB sponsors H-1B visas for Healthcare roles. The company has a history of filing H-1B petitions for positions in areas like medical affairs, regulatory affairs, and clinical development. Sponsorship is role-dependent, so confirm directly with your recruiter whether the specific opening you're applying to supports H-1B filing before advancing through the process.
How do I apply for Healthcare jobs at UCB?
Apply directly through UCB's careers portal, or use Migrate Mate to browse Healthcare openings at UCB that are filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility. Tailor your application to UCB's neurology and immunology focus. After submitting, expect an initial recruiter screen before a panel interview process that typically involves hiring managers and cross-functional stakeholders.
Which visa types does UCB commonly use for Healthcare roles?
UCB sponsors H-1B visas for the majority of its Healthcare hires requiring work authorization. F-1 OPT is also supported, giving recent graduates a pathway into the company while building toward H-1B eligibility. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying Healthcare occupations may be eligible for TN status, which avoids the H-1B lottery entirely.
What qualifications does UCB expect for Healthcare roles?
Most Healthcare positions at UCB require at minimum a bachelor's degree in a relevant life sciences or medical field, with many senior roles expecting an advanced degree such as an MD, PharmD, or PhD. Hands-on experience in biopharma, particularly in neurology or immunology, is a strong differentiator. Regulatory and clinical roles often require specific country or therapeutic area experience alongside the academic credential.
How do I plan my timeline around UCB's sponsorship process?
If you're targeting H-1B sponsorship, UCB must file your petition in April for an October 1 start date. Work backward from that window: secure your offer by February or March at the latest. For F-1 OPT candidates, USCIS recommends filing the H-1B cap-subject petition before OPT expires to maintain status under the cap-gap provision. TN and ongoing OPT cases move faster since they aren't tied to the annual cap.
