Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Radiologist Jobs at WellSpan Health Jobs
Verify Your Credentials Match Pennsylvania Requirements
WellSpan Health operates in Pennsylvania, so your medical degree and residency training must be verified through ECFMG certification before any visa petition can move forward. Confirm your specialty board eligibility aligns with the specific radiology subspecialty listed in the job posting.
Target Roles Listing Interventional or Subspecialty Radiology
WellSpan Health consistently recruits for both general diagnostic and subspecialty radiology openings across its regional hospitals. Focusing your application on postings that match your fellowship training strengthens the specialty occupation argument USCIS evaluates during H-1B adjudication.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Active WellSpan Radiology Openings
Physician job boards often surface outdated or filled postings. Use Migrate Mate to browse current Radiologist openings at WellSpan Health filtered by visa sponsorship, so you're only pursuing roles where sponsorship is actively on the table.
Ask HR Directly About PERM Timing for Radiologists
If you're on H-1B status, confirm early whether WellSpan Health initiates PERM labor certification concurrently with your hire or waits until renewal. For physicians, NIW under EB-2 is an alternative worth raising if your research or public health contributions are substantial.
Prepare Your J-1 Waiver Documentation Before Applying
Many international radiology fellows complete U.S. training on J-1 visas, which carry a two-year home residency requirement. If you're in this situation, securing a Conrad 30 waiver or an interested government agency waiver before approaching WellSpan Health significantly accelerates the sponsorship timeline.
Align Your Offer Letter Language with Visa Petition Requirements
During offer negotiation, confirm the job description specifies a degree requirement in radiology or a directly related field. USCIS scrutinizes physician specialty occupation petitions closely, and vague offer letter language that omits the required degree field can trigger a Request for Evidence.

Find Radiologist at WellSpan Health JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does WellSpan Health sponsor H-1B visas for Radiologists?
Yes, WellSpan Health sponsors H-1B visas for Radiologist roles. As a health system operating multiple hospital and outpatient imaging sites across Pennsylvania, WellSpan Health qualifies as a cap-exempt employer through its affiliation with nonprofit and teaching hospital entities, which means H-1B petitions can be filed year-round without waiting for the annual lottery.
How do I apply for Radiologist jobs at WellSpan Health?
You can apply directly through WellSpan Health's careers portal or browse their active Radiologist openings on Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for positions where visa sponsorship is available. When applying, tailor your CV to the subspecialty listed in the posting and be explicit about your visa status and authorization timeline so recruiters can route your application correctly from the start.
Which visa types does WellSpan Health commonly use for Radiologist roles?
WellSpan Health sponsors H-1B visas as the primary work authorization pathway for Radiologists. For candidates completing residency or fellowship on J-1 status, the organization can support the transition after a waiver is secured. For long-term immigration, WellSpan Health supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through PERM labor certification, and TN status is available for Canadian and Mexican radiologists who qualify under USMCA professional categories.
What qualifications does WellSpan Health expect for sponsored Radiologist positions?
WellSpan Health typically requires completion of an accredited U.S. radiology residency program, ECFMG certification for international medical graduates, and eligibility for Pennsylvania medical licensure. Board certification or active board eligibility in diagnostic radiology is standard. Subspecialty fellowship training in areas such as interventional radiology, neuroradiology, or musculoskeletal radiology strengthens candidacy for the specific openings that come up most frequently across their hospital network.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Radiologist joining WellSpan Health?
If you're transitioning from J-1 status, factor in waiver processing time, which can add three to six months before an H-1B petition can be filed. Standard H-1B adjudication takes three to six months, or as fast as 15 business days with USCIS premium processing. PERM labor certification for Green Card sponsorship typically takes 12 to 18 months, so raising the timeline with WellSpan Health's HR team early in the onboarding process matters.
