About the team
Worldpay, LLC seeks Principal Platform Engineer - Customer Communication Orchestration in Cincinnati, OH to design and develop scalable, enterprise-grade applications using Java full stack technologies.
What you will be doing
The Principal Platform Engineer - Customer Communication Orchestration will architect and implement omnichannel communication solutions that integrate IVR, web, and cloud-based platforms to deliver seamless customer experiences across digital channels. Additionally, the role will:
- Build and maintain integration-frameworks for digital channels for outreach and develop and integrate RESTful and SOAP web services for both internal and external system communication.
- Implement secure communication protocols, including TLS and MTLS, to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Utilize AWS services including EKS, MSK, and Snowflake for cloud-native application deployment and data warehousing.
- Design and develop responsive user interfaces using Vue.js, JSP, HTML5, and Flex UI frameworks.
- Manage and optimize relational and NoSQL databases, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and Snowflake.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments to deliver high-quality software solutions and coordinate effectively with onsite and offshore development teams to ensure alignment on deliverables, timelines, and quality standards.
- Work closely with enterprise solution architects, application security and compliance architects, and product managers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and system designs.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, including token expiration and system alerts, will be essential to ensure timely resolution and minimal service disruption.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology Systems, Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field and ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation: Designing and implementing RESTful and SOAP APIs using Java, Python, and utilizing tools including Postman, Bruno, and Swagger for testing and API documentation. Design and implementing solutions in Web and Front-End technologies including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Ajax, and JQuery. Building and implementing database frameworks using Cassandra, Postgres, MySQL, DB2, and Oracle database technologies. Working in Agile Project management methodology. Developing applications supporting financial technology organizations, using IBM WebSphere and Apache Tomcat and AWS cloud technologies. Developing robust applications using technology frameworks including Spring, Vue.js, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Struts. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policy. When not telecommuting, must report to work site.
