ABOUT THE ROLE
ZS’s Data Strategy and Data Office has two pillars. As data volumes expand and AI reshapes business models, Data Strategy has become a critical, board-level priority. The team supports clients in defining data vision and mission, designing operating models and data organizations, establishing governance and stewardship frameworks, shaping data sourcing and generation strategies, enabling robust data architecture and cataloging capabilities, and driving compliant value creation. In close collaboration with our Digital and Technology practice, we diagnose and execute data strategies, helping clients build data capabilities and products that drive competitive advantage. Frame Your Degree Around Specialty Occupation Standards
ZS Insights Analyst roles typically require a quantitative or business-related degree. Make sure your transcripts and credential evaluations clearly show your field of study aligns with analytics or consulting work before you apply.
Target ZS Offices With Active Analytics Pipelines
ZS hires Insights Analysts across multiple U.S. offices, with heavy concentration in consulting hubs. Research which office has the most active client engagements in your target industry vertical so your application lands where hiring is moving fastest.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Open Roles Across ZS Locations
Insights Analyst openings at ZS span multiple offices and practice areas and don't always surface through general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsorship-eligible roles at ZS so you're applying to positions where international hiring is already confirmed.
Clarify OPT or CPT Timing With Your Recruiter Early
ZS hires on F-1 OPT and CPT, but project start dates matter. If your OPT expiration falls within 90 days of an expected offer, raise the timeline with your recruiter before the offer stage to avoid last-minute authorization gaps.
Understand How ZS Structures H-1B Petitions for Analysts
ZS files H-1B petitions through the standard USCIS cap-subject process. If you're on OPT, confirm with your employer contact whether they plan to file in the April lottery window so you can plan your work authorization bridge accordingly.
Prepare Client-Facing Deliverables as Portfolio Evidence
ZS interviewers for Insights Analyst roles assess how you translate data into recommendations, not just technical output. Bring anonymized examples of dashboards, reports, or presentations where your analysis directly shaped a business or client decision.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does ZS sponsor H-1B visas for Insights Analysts?
Yes, ZS sponsors H-1B visas for Insights Analyst roles. The firm participates in the standard USCIS cap-subject H-1B lottery, which means petitions are typically filed in April for an October 1 start date. If you're currently on F-1 OPT, you'll need your OPT to cover the gap between your start date and H-1B visa activation.
How do I apply for Insights Analyst jobs at ZS?
Applications go through ZS's careers portal, where roles are listed by office and practice area. Insights Analyst positions appear across multiple locations, so filtering by office and function helps narrow the field. Migrate Mate also aggregates verified sponsorship-eligible ZS Insights Analyst openings, which is useful if you want to confirm international hiring is active for a specific posting before you invest time in applying.
Which visa types does ZS commonly use for Insights Analyst roles?
ZS sponsors Insights Analysts on H-1B, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT. TN visa status is also supported for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles. For most international candidates entering from a university program, the path starts on F-1 CPT or OPT and transitions to H-1B sponsorship after the lottery process.
What qualifications does ZS expect for Insights Analyst candidates?
ZS typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative, business, or analytics-related field. Strong proficiency in data tools such as SQL, Python, or Tableau is expected, along with the ability to structure and communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders. Consulting internship experience or client-facing project work strengthens an application significantly.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at ZS?
If you're on F-1 OPT, the key deadline is the USCIS H-1B registration window, which opens in March each year for an October 1 start. ZS must submit your registration before that window closes. Joining ZS before March on OPT gives your employer enough time to include you in that cycle, so targeting offers that close by late February is the practical goal.
