Frame your degree for specialty occupation
ZS files H-1B petitions for Project Management Analysts under specialty occupation rules, which require a directly related bachelor's degree. A degree in business analytics, operations research, or information systems strengthens your petition more than a general management credential.
Target ZS offices in key consulting hubs
ZS concentrates its Project Management Analyst hiring in offices like Chicago, San Francisco, and New York. Applying to postings tied to these locations increases your chances of landing on a team that actively processes sponsorship paperwork.
Apply early in the academic year cycle
ZS recruits Project Management Analysts heavily through campus pipelines in the fall. If you're on F-1 CPT or approaching OPT, aligning your application timeline with this cycle puts you in front of hiring managers before headcount fills.
Clarify OPT authorization before your interview
Bring your current EAD card details and OPT end date to offer conversations. ZS recruiters need to confirm your authorized work period before extending an offer, and having this ready reduces delays in the formal offer process.
Understand the H-1B cap and your April window
If you're moving from OPT to H-1B, your employer must file with USCIS by April 1 for an October 1 start. Confirm with ZS's HR team in January whether they intend to register you in that year's lottery to avoid missing the window.
Use Migrate Mate to find open roles at ZS
Project Management Analyst openings at ZS that explicitly support visa sponsorship aren't always flagged on general job boards. Search Migrate Mate to filter for ZS roles by visa type, so you're targeting positions where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does ZS sponsor H-1B visas for Project Management Analysts?
Yes, ZS sponsors H-1B visas for Project Management Analysts. The role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation given its analytical and consulting focus, which satisfies USCIS requirements for H-1B eligibility. If you're currently on F-1 OPT, ZS can initiate the H-1B registration process ahead of the April USCIS filing deadline to bridge your status.
How do I apply for Project Management Analyst jobs at ZS?
Apply directly through ZS's careers portal or find open roles filtered by visa type on Migrate Mate. ZS typically recruits for this function through both campus recruiting cycles and direct applications. Tailoring your application to highlight quantitative skills, client-facing experience, and familiarity with project delivery frameworks used in consulting will strengthen your candidacy.
Which visa types does ZS commonly use for Project Management Analyst roles?
ZS supports H-1B, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT for Project Management Analysts. Canadian and Mexican nationals may also be eligible for TN status under the USMCA, provided the role meets DOL's qualifying occupation criteria. The most common path for recent graduates is F-1 OPT bridging to an H-1B sponsorship in the subsequent cap season.
What qualifications does ZS expect for a Project Management Analyst position?
ZS typically expects a bachelor's degree in business, analytics, engineering, or a related quantitative field. Practical experience with project tracking, data analysis, or cross-functional coordination in a consulting or professional services environment is valued. Proficiency in tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and project management software is commonly required, and an MBA or master's degree can strengthen senior applications.
How does the visa filing timeline work if I get an offer from ZS?
If you're on F-1 OPT and ZS extends an offer, the company will work with its immigration counsel to file your H-1B petition before the April 1 USCIS deadline. You'll need to provide documentation of your degree and current work authorization. If selected in the lottery, your H-1B status becomes effective October 1, and your OPT must cover the gap between your start date and that transition.
