Entry Level Compliance Specialist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level compliance specialist job?
Employers at this level look for foundational knowledge in regulatory requirements, risk assessment, and policy documentation rather than deep professional experience. Coursework in business law, accounting, or public policy helps, as does any internship or volunteer work involving audits, recordkeeping, or regulatory reporting. Certifications like the Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional entry-level credential can also give candidates a concrete edge when competing against other new applicants.
Which companies hire entry level compliance specialists?
Companies hiring entry level compliance specialists right now include TMEIC, L3Harris, and Amazon, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Banking, healthcare, insurance, and government contracting firms tend to hire at this level most consistently because their regulatory obligations require dedicated compliance staff even in junior positions.
Are there remote entry level compliance specialist jobs?
Yes, though most entry level compliance specialist openings still prefer on-site or hybrid arrangements to support mentorship and hands-on learning. About 15% of entry level compliance specialist openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with remote roles more common in technology, insurance, and financial services companies that have established distributed compliance teams.
Are these new grad compliance specialist jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior compliance specialist roles alongside other entry level postings. A new grad friendly posting typically welcomes zero to two years of experience and treats internships, relevant coursework, or a portfolio of compliance projects as qualifying credentials. Look for language like "will train," "degree preferred," or "internship experience accepted" as clear signals a role is open to new grads.
Which industries hire the most entry level compliance specialists?
Entry Level compliance specialist roles concentrate in Education, Healthcare & Medical Services, and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive entry level hiring because they operate under heavy federal and state regulatory oversight, creating a steady need for junior staff who can support audits, maintain documentation, and help teams stay current with evolving requirements.
