- Teaches software testing Quality Assurance (QA) courses for the new Programming and Development (QA Concentration) degree.
- Prepares and delivers learning activities in order to achieve course outcomes
- Prepares course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments and handouts
- Evaluates and grades students’ class work, laboratory work, assignments, papers, and examinations
- Maintains and submits student attendance records, grades and other required documentation by specified deadlines
- Be available to students for coaching
- Periodic meetings with supervisors, division, or College, relative to teaching duties and training and development
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Math, or a related field or 5+ years’ experience as a Software Tester
- Willingness to learn and/or have experience in the use of instructional technologies to teach traditional, hybrid and/or distance learning classes
- Expertise in one or more specialty areas including, but not limited to: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, a JavaScript MVC framework, C#, Java, SQL, ASP, Net, PHP, Android, Swift, SAS, project management, and systems analysis
- Advanced communication (verbal, written and interpersonal) and organizational skills
- Appropriately responds to the needs of the community
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Math, or a related field
- 2+ years industry/business experience in computer technology
- Hands-on experience testing in one or more of these areas: Web UI, Native App, Web API, Scripting, Load/Stress, Utilities
- Experience with both manual and automation testing
- Good understanding of software development life cycle
- Teaching experience
