WE’RE LOOKING FOR A TEAM MEMBER — NOT JUST AN EMPLOYEE
We are a custom residential General Contractor looking for the right person to become part of our team and grow with our company.
We are not looking for someone who simply wants to show up, collect a paycheck, and go home. We want someone who takes pride in construction, wants to continue learning, accepts responsibility, and wants the opportunity to advance their career.
This is a hands-on field position supporting our Field Supervisors and Project Managers on custom residential projects.
You will start by helping us maintain clean, protected, organized jobsites while also performing carpentry, installations, punch-list work, and assisting with day-to-day field operations.
As you demonstrate your abilities, we want to teach you more and give you more responsibility.
Our goal is to find someone who can grow with us into Field Supervision and Project Management support.
YOU NEED A CONSTRUCTION FOUNDATION
This is not an entry-level construction position.
We are willing to teach you our systems, our standards, Procore, and how we manage custom residential projects.
However, you need to come to us with a solid construction foundation.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on construction experience
- Your own reliable truck suitable for construction work
- Your own basic hand and power tools
- Good mechanical ability and comfortable working with your hands
- Basic carpentry, installation, and repair skills
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Experience using drills, impact drivers, saws, levels, and common construction tools
- Understanding of how an active construction jobsite operates
- Valid driver’s license
- Dependable, punctual, organized, and professional
- Ability to work independently and follow through on assigned work
- Willingness to learn and accept increasing responsibility
If you do not have actual hands-on construction experience, tools, and a reliable truck, this is not the right position for you.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Jobsite Protection & Organization
- Install and maintain Ram Board and other floor-protection systems
- Protect finished flooring, doors, windows, cabinetry, countertops, stairs, walls, fixtures, and completed work
- Install temporary barriers, masking, plastic, corner protection, and dust-control systems
- Maintain protection throughout construction
- Keep jobsites clean, organized, safe, and professional
- Construction cleanup and debris removal
- Organize materials, tools, deliveries, and work areas
Carpentry & Hands-On Construction
- Assist carpenters with framing, blocking, backing, doors, hardware, trim, and miscellaneous carpentry
- Perform basic carpentry and repairs
- Take measurements and assist with layout
- Use common hand and power tools
- Assist with material deliveries and jobsite setup
- Perform miscellaneous construction work as needed to keep projects moving
Finish Work & Installations
You will also help us complete the details necessary to finish our custom homes, including:
- Bathroom accessories
- Towel bars
- Toilet-paper holders
- Robe hooks
- Mirrors
- Shelving
- Door and cabinet hardware
- Miscellaneous hardware and accessories
- Minor door and hardware adjustments
- Minor caulking, patching, touch-up, and repair work
- Other miscellaneous finish items
Work must be completed straight, level, properly anchored, clean, and professional.
PUNCH LIST & PROJECT COMPLETION
An important part of this position is helping us finish projects properly.
You will assist with:
- Final punch lists
- Identifying incomplete or damaged work
- Completing punch-list items within your abilities
- Following up on outstanding items
- Preparing homes for owner walkthroughs
- Final protection and cleanup
- Project closeout
You should eventually be comfortable being handed a punch list and working through it without someone standing over you.
TECHNOLOGY & PROCORE
We use Procore construction management software throughout our company. You do not need to know Procore when you start. We will teach you.
You do, however, need to be comfortable with everyday technology.
You must be able to confidently use:
- Smartphones
- iPads/tablets
- Text and email
- Jobsite photos and videos
- PDF plans and drawings
- Mobile applications
- Electronic documents and punch lists
We can teach Procore. You need to already know how to comfortably use a smartphone, tablet, and basic technology.
THE PERSON WE WANT ON OUR TEAM
We are looking for someone who doesn’t walk past a problem because “that’s not my job.”
If protection is coming loose — fix it.
If something needs cleaning — clean it.
If materials need organizing — organize them.
If something needs to be installed and you know how to do it — take care of it.
If something doesn’t look right — bring it to our attention.
If you don’t know how to do something — ask, learn, and remember it for next time.
We value people who take ownership, pride in their work, initiative, and responsibility.
You don’t need to know everything.
You do need to want to learn.
WE WANT SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO GROW WITH US
We are not hiring simply to fill a position.
We want to find a long-term team member who wants to learn the custom-home construction business and take on greater responsibility as they develop.
For the right person, the opportunity can grow from:
Construction Field Assistant / Carpenter Apprentice
→ Assistant Field Supervisor
→ Field Supervisor
→ Project Management Support
The more you learn, the more you demonstrate you can handle, and the more responsibility you take ownership of, the more opportunity there will be within the company.
Compensation and advancement will be based on your performance, reliability, construction knowledge, quality of work, ability to learn, and willingness to take on additional responsibility.
PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AT LEAST 5 YEARS OF HANDS-ON CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE, YOUR OWN BASIC TOOLS, AND A RELIABLE TRUCK.
We are looking for someone interested in building a future with our company, not simply finding their next job.
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week

Construction Jobs in Irvine: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a construction job in Irvine?
Focus on Irvine's active residential and mixed-use development pipeline, particularly in the Great Park Neighborhoods and Portola Springs, where large master-planned projects run for years. Commercial contractors working around the Irvine Business Complex and Spectrum Center also hire consistently. Candidates with OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certification, experience with large-scale planned communities, and familiarity with California green building standards stand out to local general contractors and national homebuilders with Irvine offices.
Which companies hire constructions in Irvine?
Irvine construction roles are posted by CRB, HDR, and Amazon and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Irvine's employer mix includes national homebuilders, commercial general contractors, specialty subcontractors serving the tech and life sciences campus market, and infrastructure firms supporting the city's ongoing planned-community expansion.
Are there remote construction jobs in Irvine?
Yes, though only for specific roles since most construction work is tied to physical job sites. About 0% of construction openings tied to Irvine are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting demand for desk-based functions rather than field work. In Irvine, the roles most likely to offer remote or hybrid arrangements are construction project coordinators, estimators, and BIM or scheduling specialists supporting large development projects.
How can I get a construction job in Irvine with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Irvine is through a laborer or construction helper role with one of the large homebuilders active in master-planned communities like Portola Springs or Eastwood Village, where crew sizes are large and on-the-job training is common. Community college construction technology programs at Irvine Valley College provide a structured credential that local subcontractors recognize. Showing up reliable, OSHA-10 certified, and familiar with residential framing or concrete gives entry-level candidates a clear edge over unqualified applicants.
Which industries hire the most constructions in Irvine?
The sectors hiring the most constructions in Irvine are Construction & Real Estate, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Irvine's position as a hub for large master-planned residential development, life sciences and tech campus construction, and ongoing infrastructure buildout within the Irvine Company's holdings drives sustained hiring across those sectors.
