We are looking for a hands-on Technician to build, test, and troubleshoot cutting-edge automated vacuum deposition systems. If you have a track record of assembling or maintaining complex mechanical and electrical systems, we want to hear from you. Experience with high-vacuum technology is a strong advantage, but if you have a background in industrial machinery, automotive repair, or heavy equipment, your transferable skills are highly valuable to us.
Experience with one or more of the following areas is required:
- Precision mechanical assembly
- Wiring of electrical panels AC/DC
- Troubleshooting and repair or industrial equipment
- Field Service on industrial equipment
- Assembly, troubleshooting of vacuum equipment including leak checking
Technician Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical systems and sub-systems from drawings and print packages.
- Attention to detail for precision assembly and troubleshooting.
- Use of mechanical reasoning to troubleshoot and diagnose problem/errors.
- Understanding of pneumatic systems is a plus
- Understanding or ability to learn basic electronics (PLC and/or AC power distribution) is a plus.
- Light metal fabrication skills using basic hand tools, drill, threading tools, saws, grinders.
- Field service support of Semicore's systems in the field
Other requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
- Flexible and able to multitask on several different aspects of a project or on multiple projects
- Strict attention to detail
- Team player
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Shows up on time, every day.
