The opportunity
As Project Manager, you will guide commercial construction projects through budgeting, planning, construction, and closeout. Typical projects are approximately $5 million, with an overall range of $1 million to $30 million.
You will work closely with owners, architects, project superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers to coordinate budgets, schedules, documentation, and project delivery.
Location and initial flexibility
This position is based in our Ada, Oklahoma, office, with full-time office work expected in the long term.
We are open to an initial hybrid arrangement requiring approximately two days per week in the Ada office, with remote work on the remaining days. Candidates must be able to commute to Ada for those office days from the start. The role also includes occasional project site visits.
What you will do
- Build and maintain productive relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Lead preconstruction budgeting and estimating.
- Develop bid packages, solicit bids, and review subcontractor and supplier scopes.
- Assemble project budgets and coordinate subcontracts and purchase orders.
- Develop and maintain project schedules.
- Coordinate on-site activities with the project superintendent.
- Review and process submittals.
- Manage requests for information, architect supplemental instructions, field orders, and related project documentation.
- Prepare pay applications and change orders.
- Coordinate testing and inspections.
- Manage project closeout.
What you bring
- At least three years of experience in a similar construction project management role.
- A thorough understanding of construction plans and specifications.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across office and field teams.
- Strong organization, computer, and project documentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam or comparable construction software.
A degree in construction management is preferred. Candidates with extensive relevant experience will also be considered.
