ZS's Access & Value Realization team helps pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare organizations make better business decisions through advanced analytics, strategic problem solving, and deep industry expertise. Our teams leverage data, quantitative methods, forecasting, market analytics, and stakeholder insights to address complex challenges related to market access, pricing, reimbursement, commercialization, product launch, and growth.
As a Decision Analytics Consultant within Access & Value Realization, you will help clients solve critical business questions by translating complex data into actionable insights and recommendations. You will work closely with client stakeholders and cross-functional ZS teams to develop analytical solutions that inform commercial strategy, access decisions, forecasting, and organizational growth.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with clients to solve complex business challenges related to market access, pricing, reimbursement, commercialization, and growth strategy.
- Analyze large, complex datasets using quantitative and analytical techniques to uncover insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Develop data-driven recommendations by integrating business context, market dynamics, customer behavior, and stakeholder needs.
- Design and execute analyses using healthcare data, market research, claims data, customer data, and other structured and unstructured data sources.
- Apply analytical frameworks to evaluate market opportunities, access barriers, competitive landscapes, and commercial performance.
- Create financial models, scenario analyses, forecasts, and other tools to support client decision-making.
- Communicate findings through executive-ready presentations and compelling data storytelling.
- Manage project workstreams, prioritize deliverables, and ensure high-quality execution across multiple engagements.
- Build strong client relationships while serving as a trusted thought partner and analytical problem solver.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of team capabilities.
What You’ll Bring
- MBA with a bachelor's (and often graduate) degree in a quantitative, analytical discipline, such as Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Management Science, Data Science, Statistics, Econometrics, or Engineering. Alternately, candidates may possess a PhD in marketing, economics, decision sciences or related field with a business application. In lieu of an MBA or PhD, 5-8 years of relevant work experience may substitute.
- Up to 3 years of post-MBA relevant work experience, and 3-5 years of pre-MBA relevant work experience, with evidence of strong analytic work (including use of advanced modeling techniques and tools such as R, SAS, Tableau, or VBA
- Experience or interest in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, market access, commercialization, pricing, payer strategy, customer insights, or healthcare consulting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to structure ambiguous business questions.
- Experience conducting research and synthesizing findings into strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to influence decision-making through data and insights.
- Curiosity about healthcare systems, stakeholder decision-making, market dynamics, and patient access challenges.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
