Consultant Jobs in Philadelphia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a consultant job in Philadelphia?
Focus your search on Philadelphia's strongest hiring sectors: healthcare systems, financial services, and management consulting firms clustered in Center City. Candidates with experience in life sciences or higher education advisory stand out locally, given the density of hospitals and universities. Networking through Philadelphia professional associations and targeting firms with downtown offices accelerates the search considerably.
Which companies hire consultants in Philadelphia?
Philadelphia consultant roles are posted by ZS Associates, Clarkston, and ServiceNow and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. The local market includes a mix of global consulting firms with Philadelphia offices, regional advisory boutiques, and large anchor institutions in healthcare and financial services that run internal consulting teams.
Are there remote consultant jobs in Philadelphia?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the type of work: analytical, strategy, and research-focused roles are far more remote-friendly than implementation or on-site advisory roles. About 75% of consultant openings tied to Philadelphia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting broader flexibility in the sector. Strategy and technology consulting roles in Philadelphia tend to offer the most hybrid arrangements.
How can I get a consultant job in Philadelphia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is targeting Philadelphia's large healthcare systems and universities, which regularly hire junior analysts and research associates as a stepping stone into consulting. Rotational programs at firms with Center City offices are another route. A background in data analysis, project coordination, or a relevant graduate degree from a Philadelphia-area institution gives candidates a meaningful local edge.
