Consulting Intern Jobs in Kansas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a consulting intern in Kansas?
Consulting intern roles in Kansas don't require a state-issued license, so the path runs through education and applied experience. Most Kansas employers expect candidates to be enrolled in a business, economics, engineering, or related degree program at institutions like the University of Kansas, Kansas State University, or Wichita State University. Strong academic standing, case competition participation, and familiarity with data analysis tools are the credentials that move applications forward.
Which companies hire consulting interns in Kansas?
Employers hiring consulting interns in Kansas right now include CVS Health, Walgreens, and Stormont Vail Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Kansas's mix of large engineering firms, regional financial services companies, and mid-market management consultancies generates consistent intern openings tied to project cycles throughout the year.
Which Kansas cities have the most consulting intern jobs?
Overland Park, Wichita, and Topeka lead Kansas for consulting intern openings. Overland Park and the Kansas City metro anchor the most volume due to the concentration of corporate headquarters and professional services firms in the area, while Wichita generates openings through its aerospace, manufacturing, and regional financial advisory sectors that regularly engage consulting teams.
Are there remote consulting intern jobs in Kansas?
Yes, and more than some fields, though on-site project work remains common. About 36% of consulting intern openings tied to Kansas are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the desk-based and analytical nature of much of the work. Research, data modeling, and presentation preparation tasks are most frequently performed remotely, while client-facing or discovery phases typically require in-person attendance.
How can I get hired as a consulting intern in Kansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to structured summer intern programs before you have professional experience on your resume. Large Kansas employers like Burns & McDonnell and regional offices of the major accounting and advisory firms recruit directly from University of Kansas, Kansas State, and Wichita State through campus recruiting events and career fairs. Participating in case competitions, joining a consulting or finance club, and building a short portfolio of analytical projects or class-based case studies will give your application a clear edge over candidates with coursework alone.
Where can I find and apply to consulting intern jobs in Kansas?

Search the listings, identify the roles that fit your program and availability, and apply directly to the ones that match. No account or profile creation is needed to see the openings.
