Talent Acquisition Intern Jobs in Kansas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a talent acquisition intern in Kansas?
Talent acquisition intern roles in Kansas do not require a state-issued license or certification, so the path centers on education and early experience. Most Kansas employers look for candidates currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor's program in human resources, business administration, or a related field at universities such as the University of Kansas, Kansas State University, or Wichita State University. Completing HR coursework and volunteering with campus career centers or student organizations builds a competitive foundation.
Which companies hire talent acquisition interns in Kansas?
Companies currently hiring talent acquisition interns in Kansas include Corpay, Elanco, and 1840&Company, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Kansas's concentration of aerospace, financial services, and healthcare employers creates consistent intern demand across multiple industries throughout the year.
Which Kansas cities have the most talent acquisition intern jobs?
Overland Park, Kansas City, and Wichita account for the most talent acquisition intern openings in Kansas. Wichita leads due to its aerospace and manufacturing sector anchored by employers like Spirit AeroSystems and Koch Industries' supply chain operations, while Overland Park and the broader Kansas City metro attract intern demand from corporate headquarters in financial services, technology, and healthcare that maintain large centralized HR functions.
Are there remote talent acquisition intern jobs in Kansas?
Yes, and more than many entry-level roles, since talent acquisition work is largely desk-based and involves digital tools for sourcing, scheduling, and communication. About 57% of talent acquisition intern openings tied to Kansas are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how many HR teams shifted coordination work off-site. Sourcing, resume screening, and candidate communication tend to be the functions most commonly performed remotely, while on-site interview coordination and employer events typically require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a talent acquisition intern in Kansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying directly to structured internship programs at large Kansas employers, which are designed for candidates without professional HR experience. Companies such as Spirit AeroSystems in Wichita and major healthcare systems like The University of Kansas Health System run formal summer intern cohorts that include talent acquisition rotations. Serving as a campus ambassador or career fair volunteer at Kansas State University or the University of Kansas also opens doors, and earning a SHRM student membership or completing an HR certificate through a Kansas community college strengthens a thin resume.
Where can I find and apply to talent acquisition intern jobs in Kansas?
You can find and apply to talent acquisition intern jobs in Kansas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Kansas openings updated in real time. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your background and preferred location, and apply directly to those positions through the listings.
