About the Team
Superette is DoorDash's In-House Creative Studio. The role of our team is to establish and continuously strengthen a distinctive, meaningful brand that resonates deeply with our customers and within culture. We turn marketing strategies into compelling, effective creativity to exceed expectations with each of our audiences at every touchpoint. Our commitment is to deliver a consistent and unified brand identity and expression across all surfaces. We create powerful, emotive stories that drive undeniable brand preference and loyalty. About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Copywriter with 4-7 years of experience and a portfolio bursting with bold ideas, sharp craft, and undeniable cultural instinct. You're past the stage of finding your voice—now you're using it to shape campaigns and push the work somewhere truly worth talking about.
At Superette, DoorDash's in-house creative studio, you'll take meaningful ownership across our Consumer audience —leading the writing from brief to final delivery with growing autonomy. You'll concept and execute integrated campaigns, write across every channel and format, and bring genuine cultural fluency to everything you touch—especially in sports, social, entertainment, and pop culture.
You start with the insight, not the media plan. Whether you're writing a brand platform, a TikTok script, a campaign headline, or an out-of-home stunt, you know how to find the most resonant way in. You're confident across formats, proactive with ideas, extremely collaborative, and ready to elevate not just your own work—but the team's.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Own projects from brief to final delivery with a high degree of creative autonomy
- Concept and craft integrated campaigns across OLV, social, digital, experiential, and OOH
- Lead the writing on multiple simultaneous initiatives without sacrificing quality or craft
- Develop and sharpen brand voice, ensuring consistency across every audience and channel
- Partner closely with art directors, designers, social creatives, producers, and strategists to push ideas further
- Proactively pitch ideas beyond the brief—spotting cultural moments and creative opportunities before they're obvious
- Contribute to a culture of creative ambition, offering thoughtful feedback and helping raise the bar for junior writers
- Stay current on culture, platform behavior, and creative trends—and bring that knowledge into the work
- Use AI tools as creative accelerators that expand what's possible, not shortcuts that replace the thinking
We're excited about you because…
- 4-7 years of copywriting experience (agency and/or in-house)
- A portfolio that demonstrates bold, insight-led work across multiple formats and audiences
- Proven ability to lead writing on integrated campaigns from concept through production
- Deep versatility—from long-form narratives and brand platforms to snappy headlines, scripts, and social content
- Strong experience with digital, social, and integrated campaigns; production experience across film, experiential, and social
- Cultural fluency—especially in sports, entertainment, or pop culture—and the instincts to apply it creatively
- Comedy chops: you know how to make people laugh and understand why that matters
- Comfort moving fast without losing craft; able to hold the bar high even under pressure
- Collaborative spirit, receptiveness to feedback, and a genuine desire to keep growing
We expect this position to be filled by 8/23/26.

Mid Level Copywriter Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level copywriter job?
Position yourself around ownership, not just output. Highlight campaigns or projects you led from brief to final delivery, decisions you made without heavy direction, and measurable results your copy drove. A portfolio that shows range across formats and industries is more persuasive than volume alone. Tailor your application to the brand voice and channel mix each employer lists in the job description.
Which companies hire mid level copywriters?
Companies hiring mid level copywriters right now include Ogilvy, DoorDash, and Keller Williams Realty, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring covers both in-house brand teams looking for writers who can work independently and agencies staffing mid-weight creatives who can manage client work with limited oversight.
Are there remote mid level copywriter jobs?
Yes, remote and hybrid roles are common at this level. About 39% of mid level copywriter openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly companies have accepted distributed creative teams. Fully on-site roles do exist, typically at agencies or companies where collaboration with design and brand teams is frequent.
How do I move up to a mid level copywriter role?
The transition from junior to mid level comes from accumulating ownership, not just experience. Writers who get there have led projects rather than executing tasks, built a portfolio that shows consistent quality across multiple formats, and started influencing creative decisions rather than waiting for direction. Specializing in a channel or industry, such as email, B2B SaaS, or retail, tends to accelerate the move.
Which industries hire the most mid level copywriters?
Mid Level copywriter roles concentrate in Marketing & Advertising, Technology & Software, and Retail, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to sustain demand at the mid level because they run ongoing content programs, product launches, and campaigns that require writers who can work independently and manage multiple briefs simultaneously.
