The base salary is one component of PAE’s competitive compensation package for employees. We take into consideration a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, internal equity and geographic location in determining exact salary offered.

Can I do CPT at a startup or creative agency instead of a large company?
Yes. CPT authorization depends on the role's academic relevance, not the employer's size or type. Startups and agencies qualify as long as the Marketing Designer duties connect to your program and your employer completes Form I-9 properly. Smaller employers are sometimes less familiar with CPT documentation, so bring your I-20 and authorization letter to onboarding.
How do I find Marketing Designer employers who are comfortable hiring CPT students?

Does part-time CPT as a Marketing Designer affect my STEM OPT extension later?
Part-time CPT, meaning fewer than 20 hours per week, does not affect your standard OPT or STEM OPT eligibility regardless of how many semesters you use it. Full-time CPT used for 12 months or more eliminates OPT entirely. If your Marketing Designer program is full-time, track cumulative hours carefully and confirm the count with your DSO before each semester.
