- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple workstreams independently in a fast-paced, global environment
- Collaborative team player who is comfortable working across time zones and organizational levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, or similar) is a plus
WHERE YOU BELONG
The SAP Business Network Customer Success Services (CSS) organization comprises over 600 SAP employees and partners located in more than 20 countries. As an intern, you will be embedded within two teams:
- Trading Partner Services (TPS): Focused on onboarding, activating, and managing relationships with trading partners (suppliers and buyers) to ensure successful adoption of SAP Business Network for transacting on purchase orders, invoices, and related documents.
- Transformation & Enablement Services (TES): Focused on driving transformation across the supplier enablement lifecycle through education, content development, process improvement, and scalable change management programs.
Together, these teams are at the heart of what makes SAP Business Network the world’s largest business network—trusted by millions of companies to automate and streamline their supply chain and procurement operations.

Get Access To All JobsNetwork Security Specialist CPT: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Network Security Specialist role qualify for CPT authorization?
Yes, if your degree program has a cybersecurity, information assurance, or computer science curriculum component that the hands-on work directly supports. Your DSO evaluates the connection between the job duties and your coursework, not the job title itself. Bring the offer letter and a written description of duties to your DSO meeting so they can confirm the curriculum tie-in before authorizing your I-20.
Can I do CPT as a network security specialist at a startup or small employer?
Yes. CPT has no employer-size requirement, and small or mid-size security firms sometimes offer more hands-on scope than large enterprises. The employer must be a legitimate U.S. business and must be willing to complete any documentation your school requires, such as a training agreement or offer letter on company letterhead. Confirm they understand the CPT start date is fixed on your I-20 before you sign anything.
How do I find employers actively hiring F-1 CPT students for security roles?
Migrate Mate lets you filter for employers with a history of filing Labor Condition Applications for information security and network roles, which signals they've sponsored international workers before and are familiar with F-1 work authorization. Targeting employers with this filing history reduces the friction of explaining CPT eligibility from scratch during the hiring process.
What network security tasks am I allowed to perform on CPT?
CPT authorization doesn't restrict specific technical tasks, but your duties must align with the curriculum your DSO cited when approving the role. Common duties for this title include penetration testing, SIEM monitoring, firewall rule management, and incident response. If your offer letter adds responsibilities that drift significantly from your coursework, loop in your DSO before accepting to make sure your authorization still covers the updated scope.
Does CPT experience as a network security specialist help with H-1B sponsorship later?
It can, in two ways. First, documented CPT experience in a specialty occupation strengthens the case that your role qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which is a threshold requirement for H-1B visa. Second, employers who hire you on CPT already have your performance record and an established relationship, which makes them more likely to file an H-1B petition when the time comes. Review the O*NET profile for this occupation to understand how USCIS typically evaluates the degree requirements for the role.
