We are hiring a Strategic Sourcing Intern for the Procurement team. As a Strategic Sourcing Intern, you will be exposed to the business and provided with hands-on projects and experiences, such as working on 7-step sourcing projects, using data and analytics to support decision-making for the business. In this role, you will work directly with various stakeholder departments to help drive value generation for the larger organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist with various tasks and projects assigned by supervisor and team members.
- Conduct research and gather data to support ongoing projects or initiatives.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement strategies.
- Participate in team meetings and provide input or suggestions as appropriate.
- Support the development and maintenance of databases, spreadsheets, and other relevant tools.
- Adhere to company policy.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Seek opportunities to learn and grow in field of interest.
- Complete assigned tasks safely, efficiently and within specified deadlines.
- May perform administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and organizing documents.
- Attend/complete training as needed to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of Data warehouse technology, visualization solutions like Tableau, ingestion technologies, SQL, Python, and other similar technologies.
- Excellent computer skills and experience utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Google Mail.
- Good oral and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
- Should demonstrate tenacity and the ability to work on teams, take instruction, the desire for learning all areas of the work involved.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Motivated, self-starter; Ability to work independently without direct supervision and as part of a team well.
- Adaptability and willingness to take on new challenges.
- Able to relate to all levels of people.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Some travel may be required. May require driving between operating locations.
- May involve exposure to dust, dirt and noise.
- May work in an office setting and that requires sitting/standing for extended periods of time.
- If in an operations setting must have the ability to lift 50 pounds and to stand, sit and walk for long periods of time.
- Requires the use of computerized equipment and technology.
- This position requires knowledge and awareness of site hazards. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google, Oracle Business Environment and other software packages relevant to the position.

- Prepare a presentation summarizing their training near the end of the program to be given in front of Managers/Supervisor, HR and other interns.
