How do I get an entry level customer specialist job?
Focus on demonstrating communication skills and a customer-first mindset, even if your experience comes from internships, part-time retail, or campus work. Tailor your resume to show how you resolved problems or supported customers in any setting. Entry level postings at this level often prioritize attitude and coachability over prior years in a formal specialist role.
Which companies hire entry level customer specialists?
Companies hiring entry level customer specialists right now include ALTO USA, State Farm, and Carmax Business Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Hiring at this level covers large enterprises with structured onboarding programs as well as growing mid-size companies that bring on junior candidates and train them into the role.
Are there remote entry level customer specialist jobs?
Yes, though on-site roles still make up the majority at this experience level. About 46% of entry level customer specialist openings are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, so candidates who need flexibility do have options. Are these new grad customer specialist jobs?
Yes, many of these openings are new grad and junior roles that explicitly welcome recent graduates with little or no formal experience. A new-grad-friendly posting typically lists zero to two years of experience as sufficient, accepts internship or volunteer work as qualifying background, and sometimes considers a strong portfolio or demonstrated soft skills in place of a full employment history.
Which industries hire the most entry level customer specialists?
Entry Level customer specialist roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Insurance, and Banking & Financial Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because they maintain large customer-facing teams and regularly bring on junior candidates to handle growing service and support demand.
