Mid Level Data Quality Analyst Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level data quality analyst job?
Position your experience around ownership, not just execution. Highlight projects where you designed or improved data validation frameworks, caught systemic issues before they reached production, or led quality reviews without being directed. Tailor your resume to show measurable outcomes, such as defect reduction rates or pipeline reliability improvements, and demonstrate familiarity with tools like SQL, dbt, or data observability platforms relevant to the role.
Which companies hire mid level data quality analysts?
Companies hiring mid level data quality analysts right now include Citi, TikTok, and KeyBank, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Are there remote mid level data quality analyst jobs?
Yes, and a significant share of openings offer location flexibility. About 50% of mid level data quality analyst openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how data quality work translates well to distributed team environments. Filtering by work setting when you search lets you focus only on the arrangements that fit your situation.
How do I move up to a mid level data quality analyst role?
The shift from entry level to mid level comes from deepening ownership over time. Focus on moving from executing tasks to designing solutions: build out automated testing frameworks, take point on a data quality initiative, and document the measurable impact of your work. Developing proficiency in SQL, Python, and at least one data cataloging or observability tool strengthens your case, as does demonstrating that you can operate independently on multi-week projects.
