Dental Assistant Jobs in Brooklyn: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a dental assistant job in Brooklyn?
Focus your search on Brooklyn's community health centers, private group practices, and specialty dental clinics, which tend to hire most actively. Neighborhoods like Flatbush, Crown Heights, and Sunset Park have high concentrations of dental offices serving diverse patient populations. Candidates who hold a Dental Assisting National Board certification and have experience with dental software like Dentrix or Eaglesoft tend to stand out in Brooklyn's competitive market.
Which companies hire dental assistants in Brooklyn?
Brooklyn dental assistant roles are posted by BRJC, robert adler dds, and Avi Karlovsky D.D.S and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Brooklyn's hiring mix includes large Federally Qualified Health Centers, multi-location dental chains, and independent specialty practices in orthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry.
Are there remote dental assistant jobs in Brooklyn?
Remote dental assistant work is rare because the role is fundamentally chair-side and hands-on. About 0% of dental assistant openings tied to Brooklyn are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those listings typically involve administrative or patient coordination duties rather than clinical work. Brooklyn dental organizations with larger back-office operations are the most likely source of any hybrid arrangements.
How can I get a dental assistant job in Brooklyn with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Brooklyn is through a Federally Qualified Health Center or a community dental clinic, which often hire entry-level candidates willing to train on the job. Positions like dental receptionist or sterilization technician at group practices in neighborhoods like Bushwick or Brownsville can open the door to chair-side assisting roles. Completing a dental assisting program at a local institution like the City University of New York gives candidates a concrete edge with Brooklyn employers.
