Devops Manager Jobs in Seattle: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a devops manager job in Seattle?
Target Seattle's densest hiring pockets: South Lake Union for cloud and SaaS companies, the Eastside corridor around Bellevue and Redmond for enterprise software, and Capitol Hill for mid-size tech firms. Employers here consistently favor candidates with Kubernetes and CI/CD pipeline experience alongside people-management credentials. Demonstrating cloud platform expertise relevant to AWS or Azure gives Seattle applicants a concrete edge given how heavily the local market leans on those ecosystems.
Which companies hire devops managers in Seattle?
Employers hiring devops managers in Seattle right now include Amazon, Amazon Web Services, and Google, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Seattle's market is shaped by a mix of global tech giants, fast-growing cloud-native startups, and large retail and healthcare organizations with significant engineering infrastructure needs.
Are there remote devops manager jobs in Seattle?
Yes, though availability varies since devops manager roles often require hands-on coordination with on-site infrastructure teams. About 35% of devops manager openings tied to Seattle are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with hybrid arrangements most common at mid-size SaaS and cloud companies headquartered in South Lake Union and the Eastside.
How can I get a devops manager job in Seattle with little or no experience?
The most realistic path in Seattle is moving into a devops manager role from a senior devops engineer or site reliability engineer position at one of the city's many mid-size SaaS companies, which tend to promote from within. Seattle's startup scene in South Lake Union and Pioneer Square regularly creates team lead openings that serve as stepping stones, and pursuing a platform engineering or infrastructure lead title first makes the transition more achievable.
Which industries hire the most devops managers in Seattle?
Most devops manager openings in Seattle sit in Technology & Software, Retail, and E-Commerce & Online Marketplaces, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Seattle's concentration of cloud platform companies, large-scale e-commerce operations, and regional healthcare networks creates sustained demand for devops leadership across all three sectors.
