Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced L2 Deskside Support Engineer to provide customer-facing, onsite technical support across hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities, and assigned field locations.

The engineer will be responsible for end-user computing support, hardware/software troubleshooting, device deployment, technology refresh activities, incident resolution, asset management, and onsite field support. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on desktop support experience and the ability to work directly with end users in a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide onsite L2 technical support for desktops, laptops, workstations, printers, scanners, mobile devices, peripherals, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, connectivity, and peripheral issues.
• Support Windows-based endpoints, applications, user profiles, login issues, and standard enterprise software.
• Provide support for iMac/macOS devices and Apple-related end-user technology when required.
• Perform device deployments, installations, replacements, technology refreshes, and hardware upgrades.
• Configure and deploy desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, mobile devices, and other end-user equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents and service requests in accordance with established IT service management (ITSM) processes and SLAs.
• Provide hands-on support for VIP users, clinical staff, healthcare workplace environments, and location-specific technology needs.
• Perform scheduled route-based field visits to assigned hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare locations.
• Coordinate and execute device moves, adds, changes, replacements, and recoveries.
• Maintain accurate IT asset records, including inventory, asset assignment, lifecycle status, custody documentation, deployment, and recovery.
• Support the secure handling, transportation, installation, and disposal/recovery of IT equipment.
• Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate L3, infrastructure, application, network, or vendor teams when required.
• Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, asset changes, and user interactions in the appropriate ticketing system.
• Follow established security, privacy, access control, and compliance procedures when supporting healthcare environments.
• Adhere to HIPAA and healthcare data privacy requirements when handling systems, devices, and user information.
• Maintain a professional customer-service approach while supporting clinical and non-clinical users.
• Participate in hardware refreshes, site projects, infrastructure activities, and other field-support initiatives as assigned.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Experience:

• Desktop/Help Desk/IT Support: 3 years (Required)
• troubleshooting Windows desktops/laptops, PC Break/fix: 3 years (Required)
• PC imaging/deployment/configuration/Installation: 3 years (Preferred)
• Computer hardware: 3 years (Required)
• working with ticketing/ITSM systems : 3 years (Required)
• HIPAA: 1 year (Required)
