The Information Education Training Specialist is generally responsible for carrying out the activities of the Educational Services Department. An Information Education Training Specialist prepares and presents workshops, participates in outreach activities, and provides information on the laws and topics that impact children with disabilities and their families. An ideal candidate for this position is a parent, or family member of a child with a disability or behavioral healthcare needs. Other valued skills include:
- The ability to develop a good working relationship with the community members and organizations.
- A team building attitude, ability to positively work with co-workers and volunteers;
- Experience providing non-judgmental family peer support.
