Director Of Pricing Jobs in Washington: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a director of pricing in Washington?
Most directors of pricing in Washington reach the role through a combination of a bachelor's degree in economics, finance, or business and a progression through analyst and manager-level pricing roles. Washington's technology and aerospace employers heavily favor candidates with experience in SaaS monetization, competitive intelligence, or commercial operations. There is no state-issued license required, but an MBA or a Certified Pricing Professional credential strengthens candidacy at senior levels in Washington's competitive market.
Which companies hire director of pricings in Washington?
Employers hiring director of pricings in Washington right now include Amazon, Chewy, and Amazon Web Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Washington's concentration of global technology headquarters and large enterprise companies makes it one of the most active states for senior pricing leadership roles.
Which Washington cities have the most director of pricing jobs?
The cities with the most director of pricing openings in Washington are Seattle, Bellevue, and Renton. Seattle anchors the majority of demand through its dense cluster of technology companies, e-commerce operations, and corporate headquarters, while Bellevue and Redmond contribute heavily because of the large Microsoft and Amazon campus footprints and the supporting ecosystem of mid-size tech firms that has grown around them.
Are there remote director of pricing jobs in Washington?
Yes, and more than most fields, since pricing strategy is fundamentally an analytical and decision-support function that translates well to distributed work. About 33% of director of pricing openings tied to Washington are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly Washington's technology employers have adopted flexible work policies. The most remote-friendly parts of the role are competitive modeling, pricing governance, and financial analysis, while cross-functional alignment and executive presentations tend to require occasional on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a director of pricing in Washington with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a lateral move from a closely adjacent role such as financial analyst, product manager, or commercial operations manager, where pricing responsibilities naturally overlap. Washington's large technology and retail employers frequently hire into senior pricing roles from internal transfers, and building a portfolio of pricing analysis or revenue modeling projects strengthens a candidate's case. Pursuing a Certified Pricing Professional designation or completing graduate coursework in economics or strategy accelerates the transition in Washington's competitive hiring environment.
